New Grower WHERE TO CHECK TRICHOMES?

Just another question here Iam used to check my trichomes looking at those on the sugar leaves and not the bud directly I cant some how adjust my microscope its easier to cut a snowy sugar leaf and check that.
Please your advice is precious.

That's all I do as well. I just trim a sugar leaf that's close to the bud. It'll be pretty much the same. The only time you'll see a change is either going higher or lower on the plant i.e closer or further from lights. The tops ripen first
