Hello. Just wanted some ideas on where to harvest my plants. I was thinking my grow tent but the plants have over taken and they're only coming into flowering. They absolutely stink! Not sure where to harvest them because of the smell don't want to make any attractions.I'm going to do.it late at night. Hope someone can get back to me
Cheers

Yo mate, I know that predicament very well,, your tent is the best place dude, by the time your ready to harvest, most of the tents room will be taken up by leaves, so wot I do is trim the fook out of them in the tent itself, shuffle em about if needed. then you will find when you've only got buds that there is a bit more room to manoeuvre, take the buds off, whole branches and put them in a cardboard box, makes more room, then when you've got a plant or two in that box, chuck the pots out & trim them buds up, put them into brown paper bags and dry em.
the paper bags cuts the smell right down aswell so if you have to move them to somewhere else to dry, its not that bad.
Plus get a ona gel tub, fresh linen is the best one as it smells like you've just done your laundry.
the 1L tubs stink like hell and obliterates anything, especially if you put it by your extraction, the air blowing over it releases the odour even more.
So, in your tent, sealed up or as good as with the plants is the safest way dude.
Some of my pals have got the 120 x 240 tents but only grow in half of it, the other half they use for harvesting, they seal themselves up in it.
Also wear minimal clothing, cos they will also stink. You wont notice it after a while but everybody else will.
Good luck bro!

Sounds like I'll be doing it in my tent then lol, just have to find something to light it up. dont fancy sitting in there with a 600w hps I'll come out looking like a lobster :whew:

yeah man, 600W hps, wow hot. I get the sweats just harvesting under my leds and they are nothing compared to HPS heatwise. Can you dim it down?

led borg hit the nail on the head. while your trimming, that rooms a stinking for the day anyway.
So be prepared for that.
Thats if your doing all the trimming at once.
I trim everything, down to the bud right from chop so it takes around 5 or 6 hrs. Of course im an oldcoot and boy does my house smell for about 24 hrs and i work in the basement on them.
Once bagged, much easier to cover the smell.
good luck, im going to run in to this around xmas, this ought to be interesting !

I'm going to trim in the tent lol I couldn't afford to have the house stinking for the day. Don't want to piss the neighbours off lol

Place an airfreshener to the main hallway. Do the trimming in one room, keep the door shut to that room and run air through carbon filter. Also you may place a wet towel under the door. Also, before trimming cook up some super stinking food that has a smell that is recognizable and has a blend of herbal aroma associated with it.:chef:

Alternatively, if not doing food, try to perform the trimming on a time when you know there is least amount of traffic around your neighbourhood.

One question I would have as a logical addition; How do you get rid of your trimmed fan leaves and stems? Any ingenious ideas how to dispose of them in a most safe and convinient manner? Personally I cut them down to pieces and walk about 5km deep in a forest and deposit them under some vegetation. That is a lot of work so it is not most convinient but pretty safe. Just remember to pick somewhat random direction / location and not triangulate yourself.

People can snoop around your or your neighbourhoods trash and upon discovering anything some local Sherlock might start snooping up to you. That's why I dont use trashcans.
