Lighting Which way to go

Hi guys, been a while since I was last on. I have got a few autoflower grows under my belt now and want to try something different to cfls. Now do I go hps or led. I have about £80 to spank. My space is 22" 22" by 50" tall. Now I can increase the hight slightly to around 70" if required. So come on folks which way should I go.

LED stomps cfl for PAR and lower heat. I have a 180 watt UFO led lighting a 22"x26"x60" cab and the coverage is perfect. A 300 watt would definite put a lot of PAR in that space! pricewise, if you ebay, you can get the UFO for around $75 shopped from a U.S. reseller, or a 300 watt for $95-100. That's shipped. The only advantage of CFL is price when on a tight budget or as side/fill lighting

So can any 1 shed some light on this 1. What kind of yield would I expect from a 300w led pannel compared to 325w of duel spec cfls? All I wanna know is will it be more, the same or less and will it be better quality ie nice dense nugs?

LED will definitely give you more, as the light penetrates farther from LED than CFL. at equl wattage the LED had 3-4times more PAR.

Right well I'm looking at the old model 100x3 led pannel from mars hydro but via eBay as it's a few quid cheaper. Gonna keep my 125w dual spec Cfl for a bit of extra lighting. Thanks guys.

Here are a pair of 300 watt Topled ( Now MarsHydro ) lighting an area about 4'x6'.Even plants growing on the edges of the light footprint are doing great!

I have the same two mars-hydro lights and I think they are great. At $100 each you cant beat them.

Right it's official.... In the next couple of days I will be ordering via eBay and I will run a diary on my next grow.
Think 1 of these panels will be a nice investment. Just hope it's not a bit over kill in my little wardrobe.

Good luck brother. Ive got 2 LEDs Im dying to use, but cant right now. Im considering firing them up to grow some regular garden type plants, just for fun. Ive got a mars2 400 and a Cidly apollo 10 just sitting in boxes right now....

Right well my led is ordered. Think I'll veg under my 125w dual cfl to try and avoid the plant being short and bushy so I can train her out the blast with the leds.
I have a auto on the go at the moment with a couple of weeks still to run. She's a mixed auto from 00 seeds no idea of the strain but might sling the led in to finish her off. So excited. Lol
