Thanks guys means a lot :)

They are coming along nicely now, Getting abit hungry though! (They were already eating up nearly double what my non-AF tents were, gotta love that AF metabolism!)

Will bring another update on sunday, with three weeks approx to go. i'll get my cuts etc out the way for some group shots too.

Whilst they didn't get as big (tall) as I was expecting, the canopy is nice and even and it looks like all bud sites are colas, not going to be any popcorn, which will aid in the task of trimming.

Take it easy til then :) , Mitch

Mitch, since i'm about to start my first run of Pinksalad what kind of nutes do you reccomend? i wanted to go organic this time around, i'll be growing in 1.5 gallon and 2 gallon air-pots and i think i'm going to pick up some of this M3 medical marijuana soil mix

thou the seedlings will be started in some seed starter, like light warrior or my local shops organic peat and perlite mix since i think this mix will be too hot for em

if you've got a feeding schedule i'm all ears since you seem to be dialed in on these SGS varieties

Hey man, I apply the same thoughts etc re: soil and nutes to whatever strain i'm growing from any breeder. Haven't had any problems this way for several years now.

I used to grow exclusively in biobizz products, but I've started to re-cycle my soil now and ammend it with some perlite, EWC and bat guano. So it's a little hit and miss at the moment til I get my recipe tweaked. Was getting fed up paying out for soil, and it's also a bit conspicous trying to bring in bags and bags of soil under the cover of darkness :)

Yeh dude number one rule for me is to start in something that is light in nutrients, and pretty airy in composition, to avoid stunting through too wet or too hot a mix. I just plain water until transplant/sexing then i water in with a half strength grow feed (0.5-1ml/litre) and take it from there as they grow and progress.

I haven't gone as far as brewing organic teas etc, I do use organic nutes out of the bottle. Either Biobizz or plant magic seem to work well for me. It depends what you have available to you i'm sure there are US? equivalents. But the end result is always tasty and clean.

Once they are established you can feed quite liberally. It's just those first few weeks to be careful to be on the safe side.

The pure fruit salad was a bit sensitive early on probably due to the blueberry influence. I think Pinkbud could handle early nutrients better, so the cross probably helped out some in that repect.

Please link me when you get started, or just feel free to ask anything else in this thread here. if you have any questions I'm always around to help out where i can.

Peace mitch

Nice going Mitch! ..do you have any experients on any other topping good auto strains i could use??
It was def good for you!! :-)

Hey man, I don't unfortunately, it's only my second go round at it.

I'd say most larger AF's would be fine if you timed it correctly. Anything from LR2 onwards, that has a naturally branchy and taller structure could make a good candidate.

I'd avoid smaller DWARF AF's as they won't have the veg time to take full advantage of it.

*Please bare in mind, i'm not suggesting anyone go chopping their AF's willy nilly, If you only have a few plants to play with do some bondage (LST) . One reason i went this method as it was a pretty much set it and forget it type grow. And I had already ran one of the strains before and topped it with success, so knew there wouldn't be any adverse reaction to it. *

Hey everyone, Sunday update, day 44 from sprout.

Coming on quite nicely, Just been struggling to keep up with feeding requirements. But only 3 weeks left til chop approximately, So I'm sure they'll go the distance and be fine.

P.S sorry for the clarity, always struggle with lighting on grp shots as the flash doesn't do the tent evenly. Have to stand around with a desk lamp too!
Have a nice bank holiday weekend! Mitch
