I was foliar spraying with a powder nute. but I wiped off white yesterday, and seems to be back today. I was wondering powder mildew? she has room in her tent, lots of light, and I clean up any water...dont know why it would be mildew. However, I mixed a little organic apple cider vinigar with water and gave her a little spray. I will see how it goes. thanks!!
hey MassMom-- could you get us a pic a bit better in focus? Sure, the powder nutes can leave some residue, but since you wiped and the white patches remained, and the looks in general of them, you may have thrips moving in- - maybe,... I need better detail focus to be sure,... you should scout around the whole plant, tops and bottoms of leaves, with a magnifier if you can,... thrips are fast, evasive vermin, often not at the scene of the crime... adults can fly, BTW,... they are pretty small, about this size ( - ) or bigger,...variable color, larvae usually lighter in color, adults darker,... Let's confirm first, then we'll talk ass-kickin'!
...ahhh, better! -- thanks luv, you got no vermin, that's all residue from that damn powdered nute foliar,... if it dries crusty, it can stick pretty well and be tough to remove,..I suggest a clear water rinse, preferably with RO/Di water, with some wetting agent,.. (Coco-Wet is a great one)... this stuff takes the surface tension out of the water or solution you're spraying, so it coats and sticks more evenly,.. it great for any foliar application, including bug killers, as it help penetrate their natural water repellency,... BTW, what exactly did you use, and how much? it's actually odd that this much reside was left behind,...
thank you so much, phew!!!!!!!!!!
I used just a touch of veg bloom in the spray bottle, wont do that again.
if it wont come all the way off will it hurt her?
:smoking:--- How hard is your water, do you know? Again, it's odd to see that much stuff left behind,.. foliar feeding is fine when done right, a common practice in horticulture,... the solution needs to be more dilute that what goes into the pot though,...
