Ok so noticed this yesterday and has worsened today

Not feeding any nutes

Temps have been really fluctuating from 70-86

But that's the only issue I can think is causing me any problems

Multipurpose Soil(tested)
pH 6.8
LED 300w 32" away
Dechlorinated tap water
20/4

My Temp range fluctuates between those temps so cant see that being the issue

Whats "tested" about your soil, if you havent introduced nutes then I think your soil is too hot (already contains too many nutes), the seedling has been using stored food in the seed until last couple of days...

Sure other more experienced growers will advise you more accurately on the symptoms

I would cut the lights down to 18\6 until she gets a couple weeks older.20\4 might be to much for her right now.

really? my dad was using the exact same bag of soil absolutely fine

also my dad is on 24 hour light cycle so dont know bud

Only thing i dont really have a tester for is humidity - do these look typical of humidity stress?

Maybe it's not the lights and without your humidity reading It's hard to say right now.See if the new growth has the same problem and in the mean time you can mist her with a spray bottle a few times a day for added humidity.

thanks a lot bro!

my peat pots do sseem to dry out pretty quickly - i suppose this is an indication that humidity is low if my temps are stable(ish) ?

Your not letting the seedling dry out completely are you? I could see that causing what your saying. Like namvet said I would just keep my eye on the new growth for now. Most likely there is just to much ready available nutrients. Sending some :vibe: to your little lady!

i dunno about completely but yeah it feels pretty light and dry by the time i water again and then usually give enough to re-moisten all the soil

could the seedling drying out completely cause this? ive always been told a dry period is better than too long of a wet period

Yea that's definitely a good rule to follow. But when they are that young I keep them constantly moist. IMHO they do not have enough plant body to draw on if the soil is dry. After about the 3rd node I start letting them get really dry because they have a large enough vascular system to store moisture. The dry causes them to search for water and for fresh air to reach the roots. Someone may have better advice, but I think keeping them a little wetter for now could solve your probs. :peace:

So I take it overwatering is hard for the first few nodes while the root system is still developing?

Cheers bro
