Live Stoner Chat Who's a vet?

To me it was what "growing up" was all about. Def appreciate the kind words. It makes me proud to be a veteran. :)

Army active 99-06, 1 round OIF. Thank you to all the vets before me, those serving now and those who will serve in the future.

About tze POW/MIA photo . . Distasteful to take such meaninful things and use them. But at the end of the day I believe if freedom to do just about anything you want and think copyright laws are pretty fubar. Even drawing your own person would have been beter but tue copy paste job is lame.

I was going to say the same..

I really want to thank you all for your service.

It's because of your sacrifice, that i get to have my daily freedoms.

Thank you..

not to stir things up and im not saying soldiers are bad atall but when have americans freedoms been threatened? it gets said alot but it doesnt really fit. you have never had an invasion. correct me if im wrong.

that wasnt an invasion, that was a terrorist attack. there wasnt a war just a horrible act committed by some religious extremists

We've actually had quite a few invasions, but not any large ones in recent memory. One of the reasons for that is a large standing military, no one wants to fuck with that. I sure don't. What pisses me off is these guys and gals put absolutely everything on the line for us and sociopathic fat bastards sitting behind desks send them off to die in foreign lands for no good reason. I want my friends in the service home where they belong, protecting the country by being in it. One of my dear friends is about to be sent to Afghanistan and I'm worried sick about him. He's a bad motherfucker:ama:, joined up in his 30's and outclassed the kids while barely breaking a sweat, but that doesn't mean shit to an IED.

If any of you out there reading this are currently deployed please come home safe! :peace:

ah i just have never heard of any since (derp *facepalm* meant the revolutionary war not civil war that made no sense), maybe they are more well known over there but im sure they dont outnumber the US's invasions. i agree i have no problem with soldiers im not saying that, a friend of mine joined the uk army last year but yeh the people giving the orders seem like they can be nasty pieces of work.

needless wars will only cause more terrorism as the hatred grows

it just seems hypocritical to say you fight for daily freedoms when taking other peoples away.

not trying to offend anyone, just talking.

*edit* pearl harbour is the only one i can think of really if that was.

im glad to hear so many others with similar opinions... gents.... drop seeds not bombs...

I think we need to change it so that to be a politician you need to have kids in the military... then your kids asses are on the line just like everyone else's...

The military complex has worked its way into government and has america acting as a world police force. There a common belief we (usa) need to stop things before they happen when in reality were just making more enemies. The US has lots of disconnect between the people and the government. Many vets are on the lower side of the economic curve or looking for college money. Other just folowing family tradition all of which are being abused by our government in my opinion. I wasnt combat arms but was very close to a lot of them and after we hit ground we werwnt fighting for freedom, apple pie or mary jane rotten crotch we were fighting to stay alive and come home. It os funny america has this huge anti bully anti violence going yet we drop bombs and ship troops all around the world. I hate how our military is used but love most of the people serving. I even have respect for our “enemies“.

If another country had troops in america for a decade id be a terrorist to. Just sayin . .
