Why are my babies so small :/

sidenote: One thing you should work on early in the grow is soil life. Use some sort of inoculant like great white or orca, beneficial fungus is the key to organics!

In a good compost the numbers that most will say is around 30-40% perlite ..
I grow with 40% depending which light I use. .
Right now im on a small Led Ufo so I'm around 50% perlite. .cause it takes a lil longer that say A 400w HPS ..
autos show slowly but usually can bang around 25-45 days ..
In ur circumstance ...with a dense soil ur gonna have them stay wet alot longer leading to less feeding ..

The roots need time to get to the bottom before u see alot of growth they gotta become restricted ...
Now u feeding getting already could cost you.
I'd give them a little time to show u whether they will be sick or even just mist them with half dose feed.
And you could also try wetting the soil in a few inches with a little amount of water till they grow more ..

Best of luck. ..next time lmy suggestions would be to aearate the soil alot more ..

I just fed them & turned the lights off so the nutes would soak up better. Is 20/4 or 24/0 best?

Speaking of light, what kind of light do you have? what is the distance? How are temps? lots of factors left out.

Light cycle I would say 24/0 for veg and after they enter flower 18/6. Now some will differ on what light they like but its a safe bet. 24/0 veg and 18/6 is what I will run on my next grow.

I would suggest getting the lights as close as you can, put your hand above your plant if it feels warm then to close, and let that soil dry out. looks WAY to wet.

Yeah it is wet because I just watered it right before the picture, if I am not mistaken you want to make sure the entire circumference get soaked. I am not an amatuer just first time indoor with autos. I used 1/3 the recommended strength, which has never burned anything before but I will look for the signs! I was just a little impatient they are looking nice and healthy! I am going to lowes this weekend though, I had two 23 cool white fluorescent light bulbs, one burned out and I had to switch too a 15, should I get another cool white or what is recommended that isn't too pricey & screws into a lamp?

"Soaked", no...

You want seedlings to be in temperatures of ~78F and damp. Never soaked. You always want to keep seedlings "just damp" so they search for a tap-root. Typically you pre-water your pot or plot and let the soil dry up over night a little then plant it in the next day and most seedlings will go ~5-8 days without water depending on temperature and container size. If the container is much lighter than normal, you'd water to the point the container is a "bit heavier".

You typically don't feed plants in soil when they're that size. As well, get some perlite for future soil mixes! It'll do you a great help with drainage and getting your soil to dry out faster.

Get some more 23W cool whites if you can. Wal-Mart you can get 4 for $10 if I'm not mistaken.

Keep us updated man and keep trucking. :tiphat:

Yeah I know I was just kind of flipping out cuz of the nute schedule I was using starts at 1.5 weeks & it already took them a week too sprout & it was a week + some before I fed, the second set of leaves had already grown from the center of the plant. Thanks for the help everyone, all your information is great! Will post new pics soon, hopefully moving them outside withing two weeks or so, been running a fan to make sure the plants are nice and strong so they can handle the wind and outaide climate as well! Any other tips about moving them outside? I'm leaving them in the pots, I know transplantation would b a no no! & temp wise it's been about 78 all week lol, they are just in my garage so it would b close to that! & also in regards to watering, I don't soak it, pour till there is about an inch of water above the soil, I just mean I make sure all the surface area is covered, probably using around half a gallon for the 3

if moving outside try to place outdoors for a few hours each day.

wg is giving good advice. Reps to him. You can also find cfl at the dollar store that will work fine. Just keep them nice n close.

If anyone is interested I will post another pic tomorrow at the 2 week mark, still don't look very big, but they are healthy! So at least I will get some bud, even if it isn't the most amount. Maybe I'm just being enthusiastic and will barely pull an oz from all three, but I'm praying all is good lol

im pretty sure this has something to do with the lighting
