We're all intelligent individuals... At this pricepoint there's a huge markup/profit. My chinese LED's are built like a tank punch out a bunch of light and get the job done. I'm not hating on GN, i just dislike seeing companies take people to town for a perception of quality. Hell maybe these lights are some next generation sci fi technology that will cure cancer n shit... But I'm more inclined to believe they just source their parts from the same factories every other LED manufacturer does, carefully put them together, slap a sticker on them and sell them to you with a big smile.
Premium price is not all its cracked up to be...I've heard stories about certain top priced LED's overheating if they dont have a fan pointed directly at them..."
as as you can see you claim you know where the components are sourced and there price and you claim GN are going to take people to town....that's inflammatory towards GN and your a fool if you don't see it.

Exactly TaNg. Lights need to be compared/judged on there efficiency at the canopy. Manufacturers dont show how there 330w draw is being used by the unit so measurements need to be taken at the sweet spot before any conclusions can be made. I for one am very interested to see GN's take on the next gen of led.

This weekends endless butthurt going on is just like being back on PC build forums, AMD vs INTEL, Nvidia vs ATI etc.
You all talk politely about plants, nutes, grow styles, etc. but as soon as it comes to tech it's just so much speculation and basically a bunch of people falling out over non existent technical spec sheets(i.e. evidence) for what are high tech western consumer goods that are moving forward technologically at an incredible rate. Bear in mind all these are built from components that aren't new, just improved and we're just finding different ways to assemble them to make them more efficient to do the job we all want them to do - grow weed so we can chill da f**k out - peace.
