New Grower Why is the pH requirement different in soil to hydro?

There are more "shiny" ones but the ph of plant uptake doesn't change with technology. :D:

That does seem to be specific to hydro so bit useless to me but thank you never the less some useful general info in there!

Anyone speak from experience that 6.5 is best in soil? Maybe I should start another topic now:Stones slap:

Experience needed * is the best pH for soil 6.5?

Ok so I understand that different things affect pH like light/dark and also what the roots do also so is there an optimum pH to aim for directly after watering like 5.8 with the intention that it will rise to somewhere around 6.5 by the time next feed?

Any information would be much appreciated

You already have a thread on ph mate, I'm gonna merge them as this is on ph too. If your growing in soil aim to have your water or feed between 6.0- 6.5 and you will be good.most soil growers will be in that range. The charts I posted are accurate bud :smokebuds:

Nice one dude my apologies! Thanks muchly

My friend, did you even read the article? It had an updated ph chart that you asked about, it was very specific in the differences between soil and hydro and the reasons that the ph is changed for each, it was very specific about how ph affects nutrient uptake in each and was quite a bit more than general info. General info is me telling you it works and to quit asking questions. I provided you with a detailed description of how and why it works.

If you would like, you can mail me the seeds and I will grow them for you.

No to be fair i didn't, i read a lot of hydro related stuff so gave up.

My apologies - but yeah thanks

Hey nytros :smokebuds:welcome to the site bro .Looks like Red & A4 have handed out some top advice & info for you to digest there ,exactly what you where asking for as well by the looks of things !. Its up to you what you do with that info mate ,but those guys have done a good job getting it to you .Have a re-read & maybe :tiphat:

Yeah my bad I was scared off by a load of hydro keywords at first but very useful to know that plants and the food that we give them actually determines how the ph reacts

Amazing stuff
