Cakes have now been spent and tossed which marks the end for my first grow. Total dry yield 45 grams for an average of 4.5g per cake. Not bad! I'll definitely be doing this again once I have everything to make a liquid culture out of the remaining mini syringe. What an amazing hobby!

I ordered some empty gelatin capsules so I could try out another method of ingesting shrooms!

These are 250 mg caps. The material is a bit coarse because I just crushed it by hand using a sandwich bag so it took 30 of them to prepare 4 grams. With 500 mg caps and more finely ground shrooms you could probably get away with just 10 or so.

We grind um in a coffee grinder. Then fill the the gel caps. Works very well.

A coffee grinder would definitely work, I just haven't gotten around to buying one yet. How do you like caps?

I decided to go ahead and attempt making liquid culture straight in the syringe. So far so good methinks.

Have you had a chance to try out the caps? I bought some gelcaps too but never got around to grinding them up and packing them (I don't have a coffee grinder either!). But you COULD an old herb grinder, it works pretty well. That's cool making LC inside a syringe. I might have to look into that myself!

I took the caps last week and I have to say it was pretty nice. The onset lasted probably twice as long as normal and the trip strength was very consistent. I did throw up 6-8h after taking the shrooms as with every method recently. Don't know what's up with that... it's like the stuff gets harder to digest every time.

Uhg I hate throwing up but I realize sometimes it happens. Did you vomit on any tea trips?

Yeah, I did as a matter of fact. I wonder if something's accumulating in my system because I've now done over an ounce in like two months and like I said it's been getting worse every time. If that's the case and my alcohol extraction won't fix it, I'll just have to take a longer break though I'll have to grow more soon so it's going to be a while in any case.

For what it's worth, however, vomiting out the 'residue' leaves me with a nice cleansed feeling because the nausea stops pretty much instantly. Still, not saying I enjoy it!

Man would I love to sample those caps never even thought about that! I wish I could do this myself!
