OK Here I go again rambling on. here are some pics day 5.5 above soil. I was reading Dank0r new grow and I wish I had had my light real close (3 or 4inches from begining) cuz I believe I have some serious scretch going on. they needed some water so I had to use the 7.2 this time until I figure out something. Wife just got back from store with some plain purified bottle water I will check it later. the one sticking straight up is the one germed right into the soil. as you can see (I hope) I have the light about 3 or 4 inches now and it is still cool i can leave my hand on the bulb so I really don't think I am going to burn them, but I want to try and stop that stretch.

No worries man. There's a learning curve for everything, we're here to help.

Rainwater is usually lower than that I believe. Have you calibrated that meter, assuming you go the calibration solutions?

Baking soda and vinegar and things like that aren't very stable for regulating Ph, I would scoop up something made for that. But for now, bubble the water first, then add the vinegar to lower it and then use then. Be careful with how much baking soda you use too, as too much will damage the beneficial bacteria in your root-zone.

For the little bit of stretch you have going on; Yes, lower the light, you got that. You can also lightly pack a little mix around the base of the seedling to stand it up some and make it a bit deeper, that should help out.

Get that plain water with no flouride(although I am not certain if it would hurt it or not) and check the ph. Take care :thumbs:

Yes I amusing the plain bottled water until I can get to the store. I am going to go to the place I got the from and see if they have any better soil as well as some PH down and up. yes I ordered a bottle of solution when I ordered the meter and it seems to be working well. I will add some more pics tomorrow. Looking at some of the other Northern Light grows it can be a bit lanky looking I think. HAPPY NEW YEAR

well looking at some other new grows Mine seem a like they are starting slow hmmmm, anyway here are some pics I just added some more soil to the cups to cover some of that stretch, and the bottle of water I opened today after bubling for a couple of hrs the ph was 6.9 I am still going to get me some ph down tomorrow. thats all so far I have done is a lil water.

Thanks for sticking with me Squid, seems like It;s just me and you. :smokebuds: I stopped by the seed and feed that I got my from and they had no Ph up/down or any Promix or Sunshine. Starting to worry about the transplant coming soon If I don't get me some good soil. I don't really want to use that MG that I have. If you are going to be my tutor I want to get what you suggest. So I am going to call the other nursery that said they make there own. I will give you the ingredients tomorrow, and you can let me know what you think. LOL yes I figured their where more. Mr. Squid seems to be like the boy scout helping the lil ole man across the street. And this lil ol man is very grateful. If I can't get me some descent growing medium by Friday I think I going to go into sweat mode again. Blasted filter for fan still not here, I think I am going to call them peeps and see what's up. thanks for looking Lou

I meant that they could be a little better, but they are just fine. It's your first go. They didn't have any soils? Light Warrior would be good.

Otherwise I would hardcore call around to the nurseries and wherever else and ask about the mix. And if they don't have it, ask if they have anything similar. I plain seedling mix with no added nutes especially time release stuff. Surely someone has something in that line. Best of luck to you dude.

Yes I found a nursery thats sells OF and the lady said they were out and she is not sure when they will have any. says her supplier is out ?? But I will keep calling. How long do I have before I need to transplant ? I am guessing a week at most. I think I wait till they show sex correct. And thats another bridge we will cross cuz I skipped school when they talked about pistols and plant vaginas. I will look for some plant porn to help me out. They still look the same as they did yesterday I can post another pic if you need me to. I think this is day 9 since they poked their heads up. I will have some soil before the weekend is up. I did call the nursery that made their own and she said it is pete moss perlite and MINOR NUTES and some ground up bark. 6-6-2 does that make sense. I will get the OF or LW somewhere even if I have to go to next state.
