Grow Room Wollkopf's Mephisto micro grow

Raising the light worked out! Or the stretch began [emoji1]

Two days ago the deep blue C showed Sex and surprisingly she's a girl too!

The SC is about 9 inch (22 cm) tall and the DBC is around an inch shorter.

I'm really happy, both look totally healthy and the SC has a great grapefruity smell, I hope it stays!

The Deep blue C outgrew the Sour Crack. It is now 11 inch tall and shows first flowers:

The Sour Crack is a bit more in flower

but I think she forgot the stretch... She grew only an inch during the last days

Also her first big fan leaves are dying:

What do you guys think?

I gave them their first nutes a week ago:
1ml Biobizz grow, 0,5 ml Biobizz Bloom and 1 ml calmag per liter.

Today I fed them the double dose.

I know many people say that pH'ing is not necessary when using organic nutes. But the pH of my tap water raised to 8.4 recently and after adding the nutes the pH is 7.2 - 7.5 so I usually add some drops of organic lemon juice to bring it down to 6.5. What do you think?

Is there anything I could change or adjust? I'm not really into buying new nutes, cause I just got new Biobizz nutes, and had good results with them in the past.

Those leaves might be doing that from touching the soil.
I heard its best to keep any leaves from touching the soil at all.

Not sure if those droopy leaves are from it being lights off when you took pics or from over watering maybe?
Other than that they look good.
Im only on my third grow but i figured i would give my two cents since we are both doin micro grows.

And thats probably the right thing to do about your tap water since the ph is so high.
Do you know if there is chlorine or chloromine in your tap water?(not sure if i spelled those right)
Its a good idea to let your tap water sit out or bubble before using it so that any chlorine can air out. I dont think chloromine can air out though if thats whats in your tap. There are ways to find out whats in your water by googling it. There was a website that had a list of different citys and if they had chlorine or chloromine but i dont remember the url.

I can even tell a difference in the smell of the water sometimes when i do that.(maybe its in my head lol)

Hope you get some nice fat juicy buds man!

the bottoms just look like water damage from either the leaves being on the wet soil (main culprit), or having water on them then your light burning them through optical lenseing of the water drops, but just pluck then off its fine.

Also how wet is your mix on average, picture wise it looks dry except right under the leaves, but pictures are always deceiving.

A ph of 8.4 is pretty high, yes you can use lemon juice aka citric acid for awhile with out any issue, vinegar works as well "acetic acid", but both don't last to long at keeping your ph lower, but you can pick up some ph down from a lot of places if your water is like that consistently, most diy home stores or big chain stores will have it for either pools or aquariums, but with the ph fluctuations you have i presume your probably on well or reservoir/pond water.

As @Smorf said tap water typically does have chlorine or chloramine in it, and doesn't really help in a organic grow situation, so it is best to leave things out for 12-24hr if its chlorine, chloramine is a whole different animal and is quite hard to get rid of, now can you still grow great plants with either in the water sure but it just impacts the microbial life in your soil a bit, Saying that i actually add chlorine to me res water as i run a "dead res" to prevent bacterial or pathogen from forming but im also running non organic nutrients.

Was just wonder also , happen to know what style led's those strips use aka 5050, 5630, ect and how bright do you find them, i'm just curious.

Hey @Smorf and @Mr. Sparkle , thank you for your replies and I´m sorry for my late reply.

I just cut off the lower and affected leaves plus some more (3-4 per plant) that were growing over the bud sites. A very mild defoliation.

As you both, @Smorf and @Mr. Sparkle mentioned the chlorine in the water, it is usually pretty low in my country, but i looked it up at my water supplier and it says 30mg/l. I think thats pretty low, but i bought a small bin of 25 l, pourred some water in and stole the old aquarium pump from my brother and threw it in. Curious how this will effect the pH of my water...

I know that citric acid or acetic acid and probably the most other mild organic acids could be used to regulate the pH, but I wasn´t shure on the biological side. Maybe some other stuff than the hydronium ions could have effects on the plant/soil.

Also how wet is your mix on average, picture wise it looks dry except right under the leaves, but pictures are always deceiving.

My soil is pretty dry on the surface, because i water it from below, a sub irrigated planter. It´s just two small tubs with wicks in a big tub aka reservoir. Therefore i just give some water from above, but the main part comes from below.

These is a 5 m 5630 strip with 60 diods/meter. It draws 75 W, not shure about the output, but what does the wattage say anyway...
I was thinking about upgrading my box and thought on COBs but am afraid that i can´t get them far away enough from the plants... @BigSm0 showed me the quantum board and I think when I find some time I´ll build my own one. Maybe I find a way to add some of the samsung leds to my side lighting.

Normally I did the LST earlier, but I thought these girls are staying short enough. Which they seem to do, but especially the SC grew so incredibly bushy, I had to do something. She was so crowded, that some of her leaves were like folded between other leaves and stems and didn't get any light...

Now I think they will do better then before.
