:smoking: Rick, getting close,.... when you check trichomes, inspect the ones on the calyxes, not so much the sugar leaves which I find to mature out faster than bud does,... and look at bud sites all over, top to bottom; it's not uncommon to have a significant difference in ripeness, and to have to do a 2-stage harvest taking the ripe buds and letting the lowers catch up for a few days or whatever,...
As for "flushing" or as many of us here call it, a "cleansing" period (little to no nutes, not as in flushing the pot itself out), that's a source of contention,... personally, I think if a grower has fed heavy, to tip burn, really pushed, with still a lot of fans leaves looking OK, then a period of several days of no nutes is wise,... if feeds have been lighter, especially toward the end and the fans are looking tapped.... the stored nutes in them is low, being used to support bud production, so less time is needed; some peep's like pop22, who makes some valid points about this, says he doesn't bother with flush/cleanse at all, having tested it out both ways (look in the Mythbuster section); however, I know his grows and skills, and he's a careful feeder, not hammering them which is in part why I lean more to his side on this in general... Now, nutes in the "pipes" still, i.e. the vascular system and elsewhere still being metabolized, those will clear out fast, a day or two,... that's one reason for the why behind this cleansing period, plus some extra time for those to be metabolized/used,... There is a balance to strike, between this and starving them out toward the end, which may compromise the terpenes since S, K, and Mn are big players in their formation,... IMO too much time also may reduce that late stage fattening, which is a strain to strain variable thing as to how much they do so... judgement/experience call there,....
Your plants have been P starved some, and fans are showing this big time, but that's OK now, as it's the fans job to give it up at this stage,...up to a point as mentioned! Other hiccups have factored in as we've been over since you posted up here,... From what I can tell from the pics, you still have a lot of white pistils, and mostly cloudy trich's, some clear, very few amber,... there's always going to be a few white pistils/clear trich's on the very tips where new calyxes are forming even on ripe bud, so don't judge by those,.... I'd say since you've been cleansing for a week already, evaluate the aroma intensity and see if that's holding, or fading,.. personally I'd slip a light feed in there, something K heavy, not a high P:K ratio if you have it,... some PK boosters are formulated with Sulfates (SO4), so that base is also covered,.. otherwise a wee hit of epsoms (MgSO4) won't hurt either,... after that let her cruise on water, maybe a simple carbo' source which is more for the soil herd than the plant, ramping them up can cycle out some bound up nutes in the medium and offer a wee taste to the plant as well,... meantime keep hawking those calyxes to see how fast they ripen,... looks like it's been a bit slow on that from what we've seen,... I roughly estimate about 7-10 days,....
