Looking good, keep up the nice work.

Thanks buddy. :)

Tobacco juice applied to female plant. 2nd day of application and plant is responding well. Tobacco juice also applied to male plant (1st) day. Noticed some new growth and plant has begun flowering. More pictures coming soon.

Tobacco juice didn't apply today, deciding to give the plant a break. Most Thrips have gone but will apply tomorrow. Noticing daily growth (at least 0.5cm per day on the main cola) has begun flowering. Male plant is growing steadily and will apply with CS probably next week or when it begins flowering, it's in a small pot (only 800ml) and it should (fingers crossed) induce flowering more early, but if it doesn't oh well!

You can give your plants Tobacco Mosaic Virus by apply tobacco juice to them, and then you have to throw out all of your equipment. I'd suggest you find a better option like neem.

your going to be spraying a male with c.s ?

It's a feminized strain, but for the purpose of the breeding project I've labelled it a "male" as it will be the plant to be reversed for pollen. I contemplated taking a cutting, rooting it and applying CS but wasn't too sure about creating a S1 due to instability in genetics at the moment, probably in the future when I have the perfect phenotype selected, characteristics and whatnot.

Regarding the Tobacco Mosaic Virus I've done some local research and bought Australian produced tobacco. Fairly certain they do soil tests and plant tests on their tobacco for any pathogens such as the TMV and others so there should be a pretty low chance of infection. So far I've applied the tobacco twice and the plant is thriving. It's killed 98% of Thrips on the plant so far and has so far (for me at least) proven to be a very effective treatment against Thrips.

Today we had an extremely hot day. Last night i watered the plant as I normally would, went to bed. I woke up to 2 leaves dead and dried. It felt like the Sahara desert in Sydney today. This was only the start of my issues. We have an air conditioner outtake installed in the place where the plants are growing and it was probably outputting hot air up to 60c. So you do the math. 40C outdoors + 60c air being pumped out of the air conditioner = bad. I turned off the air con, moved the plant and shielded it from the air conditioner to prevent further issues in the future. Gave the plant a nice watering and luckily not a lot of growth was damaged. Lost 1 set of true leaf (still left it on the plant) and 1 set of first growth leaf. Not too much damage and was a grower error. Life and learn I guess.

Plant has begun to flower and is smelling amazing. An amazing coffee bean aroma mixed with a blueberry and blackberry smell.

Plant hasn't begun stretching yet. Nutrients applied at 1/2 strength once a week for the last 2 weeks. Will up to full strength in a week or so. Even though the plant has begun flowering, it's still showing full throttle on vegetative growth on the main node. Will post some pictures tomorrow morning.

Male has no big changes, growing nicely. Will post picies soon! :)

Hot, humid days. Plant is taking it very very well, recovered from the heat burn from the air conditioner very fast. Plant has 4 colas (4 other potential colas, but no preflowers), with 1 main cola. Has begun pre-flowering and should begin flowering next week. Vertical growth is still at full throttle but slowly beginning to slow down.

Thrips has sadly, come back again and i will need to re-apply tobacco juice for 3 days in a row to wipe out the new adults and larvae. Plant didn't show any bad reactions to the tobacco juice so i will begin re-applying tomorrow.

Male plant is growing nicely, gotten much bigger from last time.

Pictures coming this morning 100%. I always forget to take pictures!

Not much change over the last few days. Chugging along but has really begun to flower rapidly. The "male" has still not showed any pistils and has not begun flowering. It's time critical at the moment as i only have a 6 week period to pollinate the mother. The male plant needs to begin flowering within the next 14 days in order for this to go in schedule, as the plant needs a further 10-14 days to fully reverse, and another 2-3 weeks to push out pollen. Once the mothers pollinated it's smooth sailing as I can let her go as long as she needs to go.

I've been eyeballing 2 lower branches that have stopped growing and haven't flowered at all yet, might take them both as cutting and create an S1, as the F4 might not be needed. Am contacting reputable breeders and people who are in the "know how" to advice me on what to do. So far the mother has shows excellent bud structure, lots of vegetative growth within a small period and looks like the main cola will be massive, this may be the "one" i have waited for so long.

timing is everything , dont stress the females but do everything you can to prolong their lives as i dont see your reversed plant dropping his load on time and you will need to let the females go longer then they normally would

peace

I can agree, i don't think the male will drop pollen anytime soon..

Do you suggest that I takes clones from my lower branches (have 2 sitting there that haven't grown at all in the last 7 days) and are probably just sucking off energy from the plant anyway and just do an S1? The strain appears to be stable at the moment, heavy indica and can already see resin on the plant and its only 5-7 days into flowering.

Really am depending on members advice, and specially your advice b0b you've helped me make it this far!!:bow::bow:
