nah, maybe just oldfart, it was taken when I started here, not that there has been any sign of whoever took the handle. Or maybe something completely new eh? Whatever, it is not exactly important to this old bugger. Actually, someone has probably taken the oldfart handle on discourse too, so that will settle that.

Maybe I missed it, but when does this site get shut down in the transfer?

I have the current Discourse test site now running on a SECOND test site, with a hosted service that is not from Discourse itself (doing a 30 day free trial to see what it's like.) I have successfully backed up our current first test site and loaded it on the second test site.

It has Discourse fully unlocked, no features hidden by paywalls.
I should be able to get our hosting costs to be about the same as what we're currently paying now or close to it.

This is starting to shape up.

With that comes a Gamification plugin, that allows a feature very similar to rep and lots of other fun features.

I am working on templates for specific topics, like grow journals or Cultivators Club related testing.

Pre-loaded templates for product and genetic testing. All you have to do is fill in the blanks (more or less.)
