Hello all. First time grower and poster. After trying to just read others problems to help find answers to mine I'm just gonna ask for help. Hello all. First time grower and poster. After trying to just read others problems to help find answers to mine I'm just gonna ask for help. Growing in 5gl smart pot of straight FFOF. Second set of true leaves started yellow under two cfls and one 15w led. Ended up getting a small grow tent and a 125w cfl grow light with hood. Placed her in there and all seemed well. Yellow just about went away and all new growth was green. After some time and about 3 sets of leaves I put her in my 3x3x6 tent with a 300w quantum bloom led 30inches above. Yellowing started pretty soon after that. New growth has been yellow ever since. Tested runoff last night and it was 5.7. I water with 6.5 every watering. Water about once a week when top inch or so is dry. If anyone can help I would much appreciate it.
I've fed her nutes twice so far. Once when the first pic was taken, 2/4. Just one tsp of big bloom. Then again on 2/19 (second from last pic) a tsp of grow big when I thought maybe the yellowing was a need for nutes.

Hello and welcome to the AFN. Whew! Looks like your baby was burned and a bit stunted from the get go. FF's Ocean Forest is too hot to start Auto beans in. They do better in a seedling mix like FF's Lights Warrior. OF also has a tendency to have a low Ph because of all the added stuff.

I suggest getting some Dolomite lime from a garden shop and mixing that in the top couple inches of mix And water at 6.7Ph to get your Ph up a bit. It'll take several days for that lime to react and start buffering your Ph.

Your plant doesn't look too bad though. :D

Welcome to AFN. Looks like you've got some lockout caused by low pH. If you're feeding at 6.5 and getting run off at 5.7, your actual soil pH is probably somewhere around 4.9. At 5.7, all your primary nutrients, nitrogen, potassium, potash, calcium and magnesium are all locked out and unavailable to the plant. Fox Farms has had some quality issues and we've seen some bags be as low as 4.5. You'll need to add some dolomite lime to your pots to help raise and buffer the pH. In the mean time I would suggest you do a foliar spray of a 1/4 teaspoon Grow Big to 1 quart of water. Spray both sides of the leaves once a day for two days, then wait a few days to see the effects before spraying again.

Take a look at these charts, they should help you understand what is happening with your plants.

Thank you for such quick responses! Why do you all think she started going green and then back to yellow? My girlfriend is convinced it's the led light doing it. I'd hate to think it is the light. I had flushed her last night cause I had to know what the runoff was. Stopped when I got runoff around 6.1. Put maybe 7 gallons through her. Was a day or two out from a watering so should I hold off on adding lime and foliar spraying? Thanks again for the help!!!

Again thanks for the advice everyone. Got some lime last night so will add it after work. For shits and giggles I took one of three cheese baby plants from my small tent with the two 125w cfls to see if what my gf thinks might be happening. Well after a few days being in the big tent it's def turning yellow. The other two are healthy and green as can be. I'm about to trash this led! They are in a 2:1 mix of ffof/fflw. No nutes added. Wtf!!!

I know I've had a lot of trouble with my 270w chrome led, has bleached its share of plants, I sometimes need it very far from the canopy to prevent... Have you tried raising the led? Any updates on how their doing?
Peace

Yeah i had the light as far up as i could get it. Around 40inches. Didnt help the easy cheese at all and didn't get much farther than that pic while it's two sisters are growing like crazy. Had no room for it so it's gone now. After adding lime and flushing the soil with higher ph water, the auto amnesia is doing much better though. Most yellowing is gone. But it's at 8 weeks and is quarter the size it should be and hasn't even shown sex yet. Gonna keep it going but not expecting much. Replaced the grow stealth led with a Grow Northern Ms0006 and they love it!

This is the dinafem auto amnesia now after the flushing and dolomite lime. Had to cut leaves that died but much better. It actually got worse than the first picture I posted. Just not sure how to go from here nute wise. Since it's 8 weeks does it only have a couple weeks left of life or is it just prolonged to where it'll be an extra month? And thanks to The Squid and Muddy for the advice.

Now here she is at day 66. Amazing how much growth in recent days. Far behind but going like nothing happened. Though her node symmetry is growing weird. Looks like there's two tops but I don't think that's the case. Led bleaching from a crap panel. Dug up as a seedling by a ferret. Then again by a cat couple weeks later. Then nute lock from Ph in the 4s. She's a soldier!
