Yellowing fans, or…..

:smoke: Jenn-ay! All's going just like it should,...Trapster has you covered! Honestly, many plants look like hell-in-a-bucket by chopping time, ...as you've seen from other grows, yes? :roflcry:...wasn't that part of the homework we assigned to ya? True, some shut down more "gracefully" than others, ....keep in mind Jen, that cannabis is considered an annual plant-- germ', grow, sex out, and croak.....not the worst way to go, ay? :hump:

I swear, y'all! I've read Muddy's thread at least 100 times "kudos" You can't see the yellow fans in those photos, just that they're gone.

I guess it's just hard watching my babies struggle. It's sooo ugly. No more photos 'til we're down to buds on a stick "Hurry Up Mucker"

"Send kisses"

I didn't really think they looked ugly or troubled haha. If ya wanna see some yellow leaves, one of mine is going full fall colors, red, orange, yellow, purple lol.

Wow! Death is not a pretty thing, is it? I was expecting the lower leaves to gradually turn golden and fall off. This seems so ugly and almost violent. Too bad there's no such thing as assisted suicide/euthanasia for my girls.

I guess there's no rushing nature, though. I tried that by drying a popcorn bud and vaping it. OMG it was disgusting!!! I will never, ever do that again! Ever!!! On a good note, the Silver Surfer is the sheeeeet. I love it!

Thanks for holding my hand through this adventure, y'all. And yes, I still "heart" you!

Hi Jenny.
There are ways to quick dry that make it bearable. Forget nuking it. If you look in the microwave window within seconds you can see the vapor rise. Vapor you wanted. I use a dehydrator but any low heat source will do. A scented wax heater is perfect to set a little saucer on with the bud and usually won't burn down your house.. Slower is better for the chemical process to take its course. It will usually smell like straw but I've gotten some nice flavors from quick dried and it gives a reasonable example of what stage cannibanoid production is at..

Hey Feenix! Thanks for the tip. The SSV has a heating little bowl that fits over the heating element so you can vape and diffuse scented wax at the same time. Could I put a bud on there and dry it out? On a super low setting, any idea roughly how long to leave it on (hours, days)?

My last experience with "quick" dry was a total bust. I put a tiny bud and some sugar leaves in a paper bag and left on top of my cable box for a couple of days. Maybe I just didn't have a good sample to start with regardless of the drying method. Whaddya think?

Thanks again :tiphat:

If you can find a small ceramic or glass item that will sit on the bowl to buffer the heat so to not vape everything out, it should take hours, not days. Unless your machine has an auto shut off after so many minutes like my solo. I'd be resetting every 12 minutes.
But if you have really low heat and no shut off, its worth trying.
That cable box may be usable still, but expose the bud for fresh air if possible and buffer it with a saucer or in a cup if it seems too hot and monitor it after a few hours. You want it warm, not hot.

There I go again, straying out of my bailiwick. When I saw the link to this, in the new forum post strip,I clicked right to the post and really never saw the Infirmary header. Had I seen it. I would have taken my 2 cents to Jennys thread rather than get in the middle of the serious business here of healing plants.

Sorry guys.
