Yellowing leaves,dark spots

:toke: -- this isn't a Ca or Mg defc., that's why there's no response,... this looks like P (paling out, brown patches) and micronutrient (likely Zn, Fe) defc's ("zebra" striping at tops).... also be aware that too much Ca/Mg will interfere with the upatke of other cations, and ironically, each other, so go easy on the Ca/Mg supp's,.... you need bloom nutes ASAP, and a micronutrient supplement,.... GA6 is also right about checking the soil pH to make sure it's not off pH in-pot... having flushed, it's less likely now, but the importance goes to determining if it's a simple lack of type defc.'s, or a pH lockout of them, in which case adding more will make matters worse, not better! Get an Accurate 8 soil pH probe for direct in-pot testing, run-off is bollocks for true root zone pH readings,...

The A8 (Control Wizard products) is rebranded by many other companies,.. all made at the same Chinese factory basically! I found the A7 at Amz.-CA,...( Amazon product ASIN B01GQFOSGE ) ... here's the A7 and 8 :phsoil:... long probe is the 8.... I'd call that company and ask about the longer probe, waaaay better!... Or find another source,.....company direct?

Hi Waira, thank you for the info. I'll track down that A8 Asap ! So much knowledge around here it's Awsome ! I'm glad I stumbled upon AFN :)

Sadly, I'm back in the infirmary :( I figured I would just continue this post as I'm pretty sure it's the same problem just with plants that were 1 month behind. I guess I have not learned my lesson yet :( They are 5 week old FemaleSeeds Bigbud X White widow autos. I have the accurate 8 now, the ph in my soil is about 6.7. I raised my VS 300(125 actual) watt led from 20" to 24" after I noticed the spotting. It seemed to come on very quickly. June 1, I gave them plain ph tap water, June 6 plain ph tap and on the 11th water + feed. They started to flower on the 8th,shortly after that I noticed the spots. In my original post I had these guys just starting to turn bad, but it seemed like GoAuto's advice on raising the PH seemed to solve the problem until now.
@GoAuto6 and @Waira I already have some rolled for ya :pass:

Thx

I was just reading the sticky for self diagnosing plants and was a of the impression that Sunshine Mix#4 (blue bag) is a soil less soil ?
"Hydro and Soil less Mediums

Phosphorus gets locked out of Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 6.0-8.5.
Phosphorus is absorbed best in Hydro and Soil less Mediums at ph levels of 4.0- 5.8. "

I have been using 4 tsp per 3 gallons of water of PH Up to bring my PH from 6.2 to 6.5+. Should I be going the Other way ? Or is should I keep treating sunshine mix [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] as regular soil ?

Thx Melbz. I think it's what Waira said , a P deficiency. I just don't know what I am doing wrong that it's getting locked out.

mesa- pardon the delay mate,... so, looks like some tip burn there,... odd given the previous flush and low feeds...? pH looks OK, a bit lower is better, 6.5,.... yeah, that mix is a soilless type, and good so no prob' there,... nute's are not high NPK numbers,... but you must have seriously hard water if you need 4tsp in 3gal to raise it just 0.3,... I'd look into getting a basic TDS/EC meter, not expensive at all, and it's a valuable tool,.... In this soilless medium, you can test the run-off for ppm/EC and pH to see if you have problems there, in this case, a ppm reading would really help show if there's an overload of ions in there cause both defc.'s, and uptake problems which can happen even if the soil pH is OK,.... that bit of tip burn, how old is that, or did it show about the same time? What dosage and frequency of the nutes have you been using in general, last few water only/nute rounds aside? I'm hoping this is just a simple lack of issue, but the tips hint otherwise, but not certainly because it's pretty minor,...

They are 6 weeks old, I have not flushed these 2 yet. I was thinking of doing that a lil later tonight. My water is about 325 ppm. I have not checked the run off. I have been following the fert schedule on the back of the bottles. They get water or fed every 5 days. 2 waters 1 feed. Now that they are starting to bud I was going to give them a half feeding every other watering. The tip burn started almost 2 weeks before the spotting.

When I flush tonight should I give them a low does of nutrients as well even though I fed them my last watering ? I will also report back with the run off PH and PPM's .
THx.
