Indoor Yellowing spotty leaves

There was a Thread popping up agai yesterday where the topic is the Cal/Mag under Leds. There was a good description from Brother Tang that Cal mag is best absorbed at a ph higher than 6.5 i think that is the problem as i had the same appearing on my Vanilla Pines Mom in flower and i alwys corrected ph between 6.2 and 6.5 so i now try to feed them with a ph of 6.6-6.7 and will see if its getting better.

Hi man i just saw some wrong information and had to chime in so i hope you dont mind. Sorry now but i have to make a correction. rust spots are a calcium deff and yellowing off with the Leaf vein staying dark is a magnesium deff. Hope you get it sorted man.

This is the correct information. What I'm seeing in those pictures is an acute magnesium deficiency. Any browning of the tips or leaf edges is usually a lack of P or P and K. When you get a combination of cal, mag, P and K, 9 times out of 10 it's pH lockout.

I've gone back to using pH Perfect now that I have RO water. Even following the AN instructions, add cal/mag to bring the PPM up to 125 before adding the nutes, it's pushing the pH much lower than I like, down to 5.7, which in turn is pushing my soil pH down to 6. So I've had to pH it back up to avoid lockout. Once I finish these bottles I'm going to different base nutes. I don't see any point in paying extra for the AN when I still need to adjust the pH.

I agree with you Muddy, i will be changing my base nutes also as the An Ph perfect adjusts my ph too low and i always have to use ph up to bring it back up again. I know a lot of people on here think that the A.N. Base nutes are the best. The reality is the only that makes A.N. different from other nutes is that they have a few more trace elements thrown in there to add to the plants health. Just go by a bottle of trace elements to go along with your base nutes or add organic matter instead of forking out all that cash for something that doesnt work as well as it should.

Hi trooper im not part of the High Team as i dont throw my weight around enough on here. Im sure if i put a little more work it could be achieved. Glad you are on the right track now man.

When AN first introduced pH Perfect I thought that might be the answer for new growers who aren't familiar with adjusting pH or who didn't have good pH meters. I thought growing soil less with pH Perfect would be easy for new growers to grasp. So I bought it to test. Unfortunately the pH of my tap water was too high, so I put that aside until I got an RO filter installed. This is my second, and last grow, using it with RO. I'm using House & Garden nutes in my hydro with good results. I may give their soil nutes a try next.
