What are some typical yields are you guys seeing when running a single COB for a single plant without any other lighting?

I've looked through a lot of threads and this has been surprisingly difficult to tease out. Most people seem to be running additional types of lights with their COBs or are using multiple COBs. I'm curious to get a purer picture of how well a single COB per plant works on its own. Obviously, there are many factors that affect yield besides just the light, like genetics, growing medium and size, etc, but I'm really interested to see the range of yields that people have experienced.

I'm running a UK Cheese in a five gallon DWC bucket with all the goodies and am hoping to really squeeze all the potential I can from this light while I turbo charge all the other factors and focus all my efforts and resources on this one plant.

I know @BigSm0 had mentioned that he had gotten 8 and 9 oz auto Gorilla with one cob each and got 11oz off one he used 2 cobs on

That’s probably going to be hard to tease out, unless you can find someone growing a single clone under a single cob multiple times. You also forgot to mention the most important factor for yield is the grower themselves. I have known growers that got fabulous yields with miracle grow and CFLs and then you look at growers like me that that use the best products and screw up their yeilds by experimenting too much during the grow. My last grow was a perfect example of that.

In addition I would never look at the yeild without using grams per watts and we have already seen COBs produce much more than the 1gpw benchmark. I don’t have the space or resources to run a ongoing single plant/cob testing or I would. Hell I’ve got one photo plant under five cobs right now because I’m not worried about what one light can do but have to find ways to maximize my harvest in a 3’x3’ tent.

If you decide to run this testing and create a journal please tag me in.

Does this count? 2 cobs 8 plants just harvested one thats probably 3/4 oz once dried.

It is going to be a hard one to nail down a solid figure on. I have seen 1oz all the way to 9 which was a super seed that I’d pay $100 for again if I could. It was over 4gpw. The pictures are in Afn somewhere. A good strain, good grower and decent sized pot 4-5 oz would be my guess on an average.

I'll post a pic later of my current grow under 1single cob with no addtl lighting. She is in early flower right now so no Bud porn for at least another week or so. She is a beast already! LST will be key to maximize yields. Im also doing scrog on this one too. I let my last one pretty much do it's thing and I yeilded about an ounce and a half. But that was also with a few deficiencies and underwatering like a mofo as well as only feeding half the strength of my nutes throughout the entire grow. I'm hoping to get 3-4 off of this one. And I can't believe what a difference calmag does for your plant especially under cobs. So far I've had no deficiencies.
