I’ve been using megacrop 2 part and find I can’t get it to stop creating thick nasty funk and gunk in my res after like 2 days. Yellow gross buildup blocks filters. It makes it way to the auto pots trays too. Looks nasty in them. Had a overflow already cuz of it.

30 gal res w/circulating pump 24/7
10 autopots new valve5 series
73-83 degrees temp
coco
Ro water
mixing with epoxy drill.
What can I use that won’t cause this?

looking to stay cheap with dry nutrients so was thinking jacks.

Anyone have advice ?

I love the 1 part MC3. @Mañ'O'Green is your man to ask.

@Lakep :welcome: Welcome to AFN:welcome:.

Something is really wrong with your inputs. My MC 2 part is almost crystal clear when I do not add anything else! I have an inline filter just like that and have never had a build up of any kind?

Are you recirculating or drain to waste?

Why do you need to mix with an epoxy drill? I dissolve ~15g of Part A in cup of warm water then add it to ~ a gallon of water, Then dissolve ~15g of Part B in cup of warm water and add to a separate gallon of water. I run a 10 gallon reservoir so with about 8 gallons of fresh 80 PPM water in it I add the gallon of Part A wait 10 minutes and add the gallon of Part B. I have a circulating pump in the reservoir.

I would contact GreenLeaf because something is wrong.

I just started using MegaCrop V3 so not an old expert at all. I have only made one five gallon res so far. I have had no signs of this issue. Water has a slight brown tint to it no residue at all.

I use RO water from a vending machine in town. It's ~ 18 PPM and a bit over 7 PH. I PH down to 6.5 using GH Ph down.

I happy the Green man gave you some input. I would follow him and his grows. I knew when I started out that I knew a whole bunch about growing but I decided to follow and copy. Hell all I do is copy success. Good luck. :welcome::pighug:

Hi Everyone,
Update. Sounds like I had a bad batch of megacrop. I got a fresh batch and it's working perfect now. I highly recommend it! I wish I could delete the post. Don't want to scare anyone away. Seems like I had a fluke.
