Indoor Zaroni's - 9/9/24 - grow {4 strains}

I just couldn't resist shaping the plants I had to turn on the second lamp in my room to make room for the newly trained plants. This raises the temperature to an undesirable 80 by time I get back in the next day. remedied by leaving the door open during the day. These plants are growing strong and were craving space. The other 5 plants I trained today and will upload a pic tomorrow once they also bounce back.

title says it all! It really is so fun to train the plants. In hindsight I would have only done 6 plants for the space I have currently. all plants have slowed on new leaves and started heavy on pistils. The black strap has more veg to go. I grew an osage by gnome before and it also was a veg beast

everything is looking good considering the conditions! Very hot and dry over the weekend, flaring up bits of PM across the grow. Spot sprayed neem on some leaves and defoled as little as possible. Other than that, plants are happy. The universal love was starting trichs followed by the Valencia kush. I put one of each under the LED to make room for the remaining 6 under the two 8 bulb lamps. I also turned half of each lamp off to deal with the heat. I'm very excited for the coming weeks to see what these plants are all about!

Two universal loves under LED. I believe I see hints of blue coming through the flower. One universal love painted with pollen and put in a different room. One Valencia kush under bulbs, one under LED, one painted with pollen in the other room. All three growing great and the citrus aroma is obvious. Sour apple painted with pollen and smells very strongly of apple peels! Black strap still under bulbs.

I didn't plan on doing any crosses this run, but the opportunity presented itself late last week! I first painted the universal love as that is a plant I'm sure I want to work with. Come today, after evaluating the amount of pollen I had remaining, I decided to hit two more plants. The universal love took over the weekend and has started seed production.

Very happy where things are. The room has been extra dry as our New England temperatures dip hard. I had to use neem and organashield sprays to fight back mites for a couple weeks, so the leaves took a beating. The terps and overall plant sizes are feeling like a success so far.

ulove's are putting on lots of flower and aroma. Sweet floral scents just like last time Seeing its mature structure I see now I could have topped and trained earlier as it switched to flower earlier than the vkush and bstrap. Vkush finally seeming done with veg growth and is pure flower production. Smaller buds atm than the ulove but has an equally strong scent, just of oranges. Bstrap chugging along! no smell, but lots of veg and hairs.

EDIT: And the sour apple still smells like sour apple very impressed with the floral development. I forgot to add it to my original Monday update as it is also the sole sour apple plant in my spontaneous cross experiment

Visible seeds on all plants. the ulove was pollinated on day 46, and received pollen the next four days. the sour apple and vkush were pollinated on day 50 and received pollen for the next 4 days. All plants are now back in the same room, all under LED. happy family

day 64! not much to say, all the plants are on track. the u love looks like it's hitting peak production. Room is a little over crowded and I'm dealing with a pm flair up. That is more of tomorrow's problem I'll update with the pregnant ladies later in the week.

Alright! So last Friday I had to make the call and chop the universal love and Valencia kush. I wanted to let them cook over the weekend as the trichs were nice and milky, but little to no ambers. The PM was becoming a serious concern to the moms in the room so I decided to give them the chop. I'm still very satisfied with the end product. Strong terps from both and crazy, pretty flower off the ulove

black strap is definitely in need of more time to cook. And the sour apple still has 3 or 4 weeks left with the other moms

Hello all! time to harvest the black strap. This wraps up this grow (minus the spin off breeding project)

The black strap was a nice grow, but I didn't manage to get extremely fragrant terps like I did from the other 3. I'm a relatively new grower and it was the first time I ran the strain, so I'm assuming I could have done better for her. If I was to run a gnome strain again, I would probably give the osage another go, that baby was a beast.
