2025 BioTabs & Fast Bud Autos

Strains growing - 2 Lemon Cherry Cookies, Banana Purple Punch and Papaya Cookies in 5-gallon fabric pots. All were selected to finish around the 8 week time frame. New to BioTabs so I wanted quicker strains, thinking the nutrient demands maybe less(?). So far these strains were quick to show signs of preflower ~day 19 and have been very easy to grow.

Setup: 60x120cm Spider Farmer Tent, SF-2000 LED lights, variable speed extraction fan, carbon filter, one fixed fan and one ocilating fan.


Day 26 Papaya Cookies

Started with preheated glasses of water and seedling mat, seeds placed in glasses x24 hours, which were then placed in pre-moisten and heated Root Riot cubes inside a a seedling dome. 3 days later 5/6 seeds germinated and the next day the last Papaya Cookies sprouted. The following day cubes were placed in seedling bags filled with BioBizz light mix and additional perlite ~10%. Seedling bags were pre-moistened and heated as well on the seedling mat and lights were changed to the SF lights. *Too much stretch noted on first days of seedlings from using small cheap LED light.

All six seeds germinated, one likely hit a hot spot in the Light Mix, will need to be more mindful in prep. I started 2 each of the following strains from FastBuds: Lemon Cherry Cookies (LCC), Banana Purple Punch (BPP) and Papaya Cookies (PC). Selected the slightly faster growing BPP, both LCC and the Last to sprout PC for transplant.

Watered every other or every third day 10/40/70/140ml before transplanting into 5 gallon fabric pots on day 17. Pots were filled with BioBizz Light mix, ~10% perlite, and a small amount of worm hummus. Soil mix prepared using BioTabs Organic Grow Guide.

Attempted to top BPP Day 19 between 5th & 6th nodes and discovered signs of PreFlower on her and LLC. PC the next day. Removed first node branches.

BPP Day 27

Week 4 finds the Fast Bud strains adding bulk, stretching and PreFlower. Height at beginning/end of week BPP 25/39 cm, PC 17/34 cm and LCC 20/37 & 19/37 cm, great growth for the week! Lights have been increased slowly to 90% and adjusting light height almost daily - 30-35 cm in flower, with leaf tucking.



Watered day 23 & 26 1.5L.

LST started on BPP in an attempt to keep the canopy relatively even. LST to PC branches; she is dense Day 27. LCC/PC responded well to leaf tucking with branches growing and gaining height this week. LCC will likely benefit from LST.

Day 27 left to right BPP, PC and LCCs.

3 glasses of water were pre-warmed using a seedling mat and 2 of each strain were placed in the labeled glasses x 24 hours. While the seeds were soaking RootRiot Cubes were moistened and placed in a seedling tray with dome on the seedling mat. The seeds after soaking were then placed in the pre-heated RootRiot cubes, with cheap LED lamp. 3 days later 1 Banana Purple Punch and 1 Lemon Cherry Cookies sprouted. 1 Papaya Cookies and 1 Banana Purple Punch were just beginning to push out of the cube. The next day all but one Papaya Cookies had sprouted and had first leaves. The cubes were then placed in seedling bags and day 1 begins.




Seedling bags were prepared by making a slit down all four sides with some material remain at the top this bag is then inserted into another unaltered seedling bag. Similar to the solo cup, the slits on the side allow me to peel back the bags easily during transplant. Seedling soil was simply BioBizz light soil and ~10% perlite. The seedling bags were then watered slowly with 100ml syringe until small drops of run-off noted and were placed on seedling mat.

All six 6 sprouted and were placed in seedling bags. SF Lights were turned on at 30%, 56 cm and 20 on 4 off.

Day 3 all had first set of leaves, watered 10 ml per plant.
Day 5 watered 40 ml per plant with no run-off.
Day 6 2nd set of leaves beginning on most. Noted Papaya Cookies likely hit a "hot spot" in the soil.

Plants finished the week around 5-6cm. Temps ~22C and 70%.

Lights lowered and intensity slowly increased to 50% by the end of week. Second set of leaves filled in and third set of leaves beginning by day 14. The Papya Cookies grew slower and likely hit a hot spot was removed, the second Banana Purple Punch was removed to grow outside. Leaving 4 - 2 Lemon Cherry Cookies, 1 Banana Purple Punch and 1 Papaya Cookies.


Day 8 watered 70 ml, no run-off.
Day 11 watered 140 ml, no run-off.
Day 14 watered 140 ml, no run-off.
