Decided to give auto's a go. Normally I'm an outdoor grower, but as most outdoor growers know, the end of the season can be tragic. Not to mention we get much less light in Oct, when the plants need it the most. Growing outdoors requires attention from April-Oct. So I decided to run auto's outdoors next year and try to see what I could do from April-July and take the rest of the Summer off (at least from plant maintenance) So this is my attempt at running an indoor triatriall, to see what I'm up against for next season. I decided on the 9/3 schedule mainly to test a hypothesis. I've read a lot of things and most of them say this won't work and isn't ideal for the plants. We will see.
Rather than a typical grow journal, I've decided to do a room journal to document the process. The grow isn't as important to me as the data collected from the process. Unfortunately, no matter the results, seeing how it's my first run and nothing is even close to being dialed in, it doesn't tend to confirm or refute any opinion on the matter. We'll test the results, as that's what matters. Another factor is that the plants were started 18/6 and switched to 6/2 around day 38 and then to 9/3 around day 46. I have a few that I've started on just the 6/2 and now will be on 9/3, so we'll see if their response is different. I don't seem to think it would effect anything with an auto. Anyway.... On to the important information.
Running 2 gallon fabric pots, 50/50 perlite/707, so just under 1 gallon of grow medium.
Nutrients MB/ES/CN with a ratio that changes due to their age and needs. I also add humic acid, kelp, fulvic acid, teas.
I've topped, LST and topped and LST. Keeping an even canopy is of the utmost importance in maximizing the most light to the plant.
Trying to keep the room at 80/60.
Here we go!
