I've been growing autos for just on a year now and find them very interesting. I've learnt their a lot more resilient to training than I first thought and quite sensitive to nute schedule.
I've tried Northern Lights, Blueberry and Afghan and now having a crack at Amnesia Haze.
I keep it pretty simple atm in my little 2 x 2 space and generally average about 100 - 200g dry.
I have noticed training does lengthen overall time from start to finish but I'm ok with that and I enjoy dishing out the BDSM on them and notice I get a bigger return with the training.
Setup and schedule is as follows,
70/30 - coco / perlite in a 10 litre pot
I only use rain water with about 6.6ph
Run to waste
Lights
I use LED strips and have an EPR160v & EPR140v driving everything atm (upgrading driver later this year).
I've just ordered a Meshtek controller and some more strips and will build a 3 channel unit to dial in a sick spectrum schedule for flowering.
In Veg - 4 x 3500k total of about 150w
In Flower -
New flowering rig - 4 x 3500k, 2 x deep red/ far red & 2 x VUA mix strips. With the 3500s on one channel, reds on another and UVs on another. This will provide up to 260w in total but doubt I'll use all of it.
Nutes
I keep it real simple at the moment and just use 1/4 strength Seasol at the start of week 3 with full strength Cali magic in all watering right from the start.
Then when she flips, 1/2 strength Canna Classic and double strength Cali magic and that's it for now.
I check the PH every other day and is stable at 6.6 and that's it, I mainly just observe and read my girls as to what they want.
Climate
Pretty warm where I am with a bit of humidity but I keep a couple of little fans going to keep everything moving and plenty of feeding, haven't had any problems so far.
Noticed once I changed from a peat moss soil mix to coco, some previous gnat issues stopped and haven't returned.
Anyway let's have some pic's
