Greetings Growers and Smokers.
Todays entry will showcase how I construct my cauldron of wizardry and transform Ganj and Spirits into a Green Dragon Tincture (Cannabis Extraction).
This batch was 16g of popcorn nuggs (12g decarb + 4g of ‘fresh’ cured material) and about 4g (ish) of trim/shake… for about a ~ 20g material load out total.
In the jar was the 12g of fresh (cured) material i wanted to decarboxylate to activate the oils and other compounds and cannabinoids for this here extraction. I folded the herbs in Foil to help seal the oils and terps in with the material: I then threw that into this old pickle jar…to help with the ”Aromas” that happen when our favorite herbs are toasted. I reserved the remaining 4g of ‘Fresh’ Flower and the 4g(ish) of ‘Fresh-Trim’ for a subsequent step.
But first, I threw the jar in the meatloaf pan… and the meatloaf pan in the oven…
…To decarb at 245 deg F. [118 deg C.] For 45 minutes. When finished I let cool for 10 min…
The whole bottle of Everclear goes on top - 750ml.
In the bottom of the Magical Butter I tossed in the remaining 4g of ‘Fresh’ buds with my 4g (ish) of ‘Fresh-Trim’ and finally the 12g decarbed material…and the lot of the extractor Everclear.
The Incubation takes 8hrs….Brewing buzzing steaming snorting clawing gnashing scratching biting knarling thrashing….
And then the Dragon is Born.
The straining topper on his he Magical Butter is nice cause it can service both large 32oz (Qt) seen here and small sized jars (Last pic). And has a mesh strainer with a french press-esque plunger to squish out the last bits from the strainer.
I think this batch tastes much better than my last batch, but it is nearly a year old and lost a lot of color. Or this new batch is greener: I assume due to more materials being extracted in the solution.

Step 3. Combine in Magical Butter to cycle.
Step 4. Strain, store and enjoy.
As I said, I separated out 16g of material. I had four cultivars so I am calling this Green Dragon: WautoSkyMiraMints. featuring Skydancer, Wautomints from Automatically Delicious Seeds, and my Miracrop crosses, the Island Chill x Blizzard [Exotic Frost] and Shot Caller x Blizzard [Frost Bite (OG) ]. I used 4g of each cultivar, separated them all into 3g : 1g portions which I divvied up to 12g for decarboxylation and 4g to throw in as “Fresh” Flower. This ‘Fresh’ flower addition was an attempt to boost the Taste Terps, and hopefully enhance the entourage effect et al. I also had 4g of trim that i threw in with the ‘Fresh’ as well. Also from those cultivars fwiw…
Once the 12g was finished Decarbing I added all ~ 20g (12g + 4g Fresh + 4g trim) to the Magical Butter Machine. Added the bottle of Everclear on top, threw the lid on. I set dials to 130 deg F (54 deg C). And waited out the day…
And this one was a Stem-based Green Dragon Tincture i did in the freezer (Frost Dragon) when I started the BlueSkyMustyBuffalo Green Dragon last year… that i kinda forgot about… Also extracted with Everclear.
I put in an effort to try and sap any remaining Terps from today’s batch… I used the pulp from new batch and tried to infuse (steal) some of the delicious Wauto terps out if it.. and maybe possibly ’double infuse’ this weaker stem version… so I strained the stems from the Old freezer batch, and I added the new pulp (that smelled pretty amazing still) into the freezer batch gave it a vigorous infusing shake, and popped it back in the freezer for the night and re-strained her one last time the next morning.
Note. I am amassing some ABV (Already Been Vaped) stash….
Some of which may find its way into some of this freezer tincture (and surely some other concoctions) to try and achieve what I will call a ‘compound extract batch’ which will feature extractions from: Stems, Trim, ABV, Keef, Green Dragon and maybe even some straight Flower kind combination…over time I am hoping to have a broad spectrum extract (of sorts).
