OK, today is the first day of my first indoor tent grow EVER... I'm officially exited :smoking:
Northern Lights x Big Buds in a Mars Hydro 60/120/180cm tent with 2x Mars Hydro TS1000 lights.
I have just dumped 9 seeds in a glass of water, hoping to get 6 sprouts from that and later on I'll select the ones doing best in early veg stage.

Wet Vacuum is a godsend, water away and just start hoovering up any run through, couple of minutes and you're done compared to be messing about with basins etc...

Little more growth since yesterday I think.
Also finally got the Rhizotonic so the babies are now on that too.

Day 9 since seeds were dropped in water...
This is the biggest and best looking ones, they are all good though even though I'm down to 7 from 9.
One didn't open the colydon leaves but did have some roots, I still decided to cull it as 7 is most likely more than can be managed in the tent anyway.. 2/4/6ft...
Another one I must have accidentally watered to hard so the seed floated to the surface of the Coco and dried again, I have soaked it overnight and it is in paper towel now, just for the experiment.
Ok rambling over, here's the biggest of the baby girls

Today is 2 weeks since these were seeds getting dumped in a glass of water, they look ok'ish I think
Since I have six of them and I'm not expecting to be able to keep all of t one of them in a 2/4/6ft tent, I decided to FIM one of them, I picked the strongest looking one for better chance of success with it, I will also top one or two of them in a couple of days, I want one more node, maybe two first.
Well technically speaking I have eight plants in there but one is a small cup/pot and another is the Miss Afghanistan that I have in the wellie competition.
The six canvas pots are all Northern Lights x Big Buds and the wellie is some Afghan seed I got from a grower in Spain, so a bit of a surprise in a way as I don't know anything else about it.

Nicely going! I confirm that you're gonna run out of room really soon...
My NL went on for close to 120 days.Be patient!

Was your NL an Auto as well?
These are NL x Big Buds, 11-13 weeks I think the description said but they'll take whatever time they take, this first time grow is about learning rather than yield or anything else, if I can keep them alive to the end and get a couple of spliffs from it I'll be happy
Space wise I know I'm more than just challenged but I'm prepared to murder half of them if needed, I just started extra seeds because it was a buy 10 get 10 free deal and by starting more I had a better chance or getting some good ones going from the beginning.

Yep,was an Auto,just a slow-to-finish one! It was my first grow too,in a 2x4, and i managed to finish all 3 plants.
You'll get way more then a couples of spliffs!
Good choice on the 2 smaller TS in a 2x4.Cheap and great light out of those.
Did you used to grow outside before?

I have only done very simple grows outside and it's 25 years ago so this is very new territory altogether

So much infos available now with the Net.You can hardly go wrong.Started a year ago,now 4 grows under the belt and getting nice yield every time.
I found coco to be very easy to grow with.
I'll follow your grow! Good luck!

Cheers man.
I'm quite happy now that I went with Coco, it was a bit nerve wrecking at first but again it was about being at home anyway and having the time so I might as well jump in and learn the ins and outs of it.

It's the 22nd today, that is 16 days since these were seeds
The 6 bigger 3 gallon canvas pots and the small pot are all same age, feed, Coco/Perlite mix and NL x Big Buds.
The wellie boot is an Afghan girl from Spain and she is younger than the others.
One has a little bit of thing going on with markings on leafs but only very little and since they all grow in the same and getting same nutrients etc.. I'll see if it doesn't just grow out of it, if not it dies :smoking:

Topped one today and chopped the 1 and 3 leaf bits at the bottom off on all of them, mostly because they were in the way when watering.

Tried my hands at a little LST today for the very first time :smoking:
They also seems to be taking more water and with less run off the last few days so I'm starting to do two waterings a day already now, you really do realise very quick how much more the Coco takes than what you expected before getting started, I would only recommend Coco to a first timer though if you know that you will be home every day.

Phresh carbon filter arrived and it is a perfect fit over the AC Infinity 6'' fan, it takes up a lot of space inside a tent but for now it will work, if I need to move thing around later I can get some ducting, still only have the fan on second power setting and it is doing exactly what it is supposed to.
