OK, today is the first day of my first indoor tent grow EVER... I'm officially exited :smoking:
Northern Lights x Big Buds in a Mars Hydro 60/120/180cm tent with 2x Mars Hydro TS1000 lights.
I have just dumped 9 seeds in a glass of water, hoping to get 6 sprouts from that and later on I'll select the ones doing best in early veg stage.

A little more tidying and tucking today to get fan leaves out of the way and opening up as much as is possible at this early stage.
I also topped Plant No 7, the one in the small tiny pot, I made a watering solution of Water/Canna Start/Canna Rhizotonic and soaked another small pot of Coco totally in that and let it drip off, then I took the topped part and squished the bottom of the stem and then with a pipe cleaner I fixed it into the wet coco and put a plastic bag over it, it is an unlikely to succeed cloning attempt, but I thought... Why not try.. It's there and these plants are all looking strong so let's see what the cut offs can do... If anything.

A little defoliation today, nothing to heavy but just getting rid of a few leaves that were in the way when watering

Tightended up some of the LST tie downs a little today and gently bent/moved everything outand open towards light, nothing overly heavy but I did manage to snap a top off and snap a branch that I taped up.
Not sure how much difference you can really see compared to yesterday, but hey, this is a type of diary :smoking:

Despite a couple of little mishaps with branches and a main stem snapping yesterday, everything seems fine and the one that got the worst torture seems to be the one growing fastest still, one of the plants I haven't touched at all are the slowest so far, even slower than the mini pot, however, they all seems to be showing themselves slightly different already but still looking well.
Little Miss Afghanistan is showing a little stress or something but I'm not going to worry just yet, hopefully she'll just grow out of it.

Happy Halloween from my first grow attempt (Wellie Boot is a seperate thing)
I'm pretty stoked with how well it is going for a first grow and doing it in Coco/Perlite, it definitely isn't a hard as you think when you read about it first.
6th October was the day the the seeds for the six 3 gallon canvas and the little plastic pot aka Plant No 7 went into a glass of water.

A couple of defoliation and LST sessions later, plus they are growing well, not much tæller because I'm pulling stuff down low in a bid to be able to keep a low canopy and be able to keep all of them (probably not possible but worth a try)
Also added a few more nutes to the stable.

Lights are about 21 inches from the top of the Coco and about 16 inches from top of the plants, give or take a little.
I took a chance and did a fairly extensive defoliation this morning as they were very dense, I broke a small stem doing LST and taped it up, also had to chop the stem I broke and taped yesterday, not a big worry as there's 6 plants, plant No7 and Miss Afghanistan in there.
I had watered the first 3 before I realised I had forgotten to PH the water so I did that straight away and gave those 3 an extra liter to try and compensate a bit.
Here's a picture of light height.

I just realised that today is the first day of their second month.,31 days ago they were just a little seed.
I watered with 2057 EC 5.8 PH and run off was roughly 1100-1350.
First time over EC 2000 but they didn't seem to mind 1900 the last couple of waterings so I decided to try it, highest on the feed chart I have is 2400 so I'm right up there, fingers crossed it works

What's the weather like where your babies live?
I can't do much better for them at this stage of their lives, I might need a little dehumidifier later on.

Day 33 since seed, all plants doing well and also taking well to LST and defoliation.
Lowered the lights from 21 to 18 inches, if they don't like it I can raise them again :-)

I decided to try and optimise the small space I have and rearrange the plants and move the tower fan to the middle of the tent, I didn't gain an awful lot but I think it optimised a little for Scrog Net time ( if needed)

1st day of week 6 today, it's kinda weird to think that these were just seeds 5 weeks ago.
I spent nearly an hour adjusting all the LST today.
For the 3 gallon fabric pots approx EC 2000 goes in and EC 1150 comes out.
Plant No.7 gets the same feed but run off is around EC 1600, I do water it to 50% run off though and top it up a couple of times during the day because of the small 1/2 litre pot.
The 3 accidental clones are still alive and looking quite OK, I might try and make a foliate spray to help them along, they're only lab rats anyway.... don't tell them I said that LOL
Miss Afghanistan has her own daily in the wellie challenge thread so I won't bore you with her details here.

I realised that I probably had the lights a bit close as I had measured from soil/coco level instead of canopy so I raised them a little.
I chopped the 120cm x 240cm scrog net I bought so that it fits my 60cm x 120cm tent, I'm being optimistic that it will be needed to assist some big fat colas soon
Week six will be ending next week so I'm almost half way there, these are supposed to be 11-13 weeks according to Weedseedsexpress website description so I'm hoping that 13 will be the magic number, other places are saying 8-10 weeks but I just can't see that happening, I'm happy enough to wait anyway :weed:
My plant No.7 is turning into a right little bonsai type plant and looking cool and happy in her little pot.
I accidently dropped one of the pots with clone bits and a chunk of coco fell out and revealed roots :hothot:
No damage seemed to be done so I quickly got the Coco bit back in the pot and gave it a drop of water as an apology :-)

Sunday morning and we're nearing the end of week six since dropping the seeds, roughly half way there I'm guessing but a week or two extra won't bother me as I'm going for couch lock effect on at least half of them ( of course they have to make it there first LOL)
Difference in picture since yesterday probably isn't much but when sitting in front of the tent looking at them I'm sure I notice it a good bit (maybe wishful thinking)
20201115_103312.jpg

They're definitely starting to stretch a bit more and faster now, in an attempt to still try and keep all 6 in the big pots I did a fair hefty defoliation today and some gentle LST to spread them out a little, hopefully I didn't overdo it for this stage of their life, but hey... Time will tell.. It's all about the learning experience.
I have ordered a seperate intake fan and speed controller for it today to hopefully help a little bit with the high humidity fluctuating between 55 and 82.

Rearranged things a bit this morning to try and make max use of the tower fan, also ordered an intake fan yesterday to hopefully help with the 45-80 RH fluctuations.
Still going strong I think, I'm very happy with my progress, I have learned heaps in the last month and a half :smoking:
