Yesterday, I decided to bend the main branch over on the taller plant in the grow space. This seems like a less stressful approach method and will help even out the canopy height. I also watered the air pot and tried to give it a good soaking and have been watering it roughly every two days.
Another thing I'm noticing is that when the light is off, the humidity slowly climbs up in the tent (~70 Rh). Since the temperature is maintained around 80 degrees and it doesn't need to turn on the exhaust fan. Since the intake and exhaust fans are setup on the temperature controller, it's been generally fine without having to control humidity, since it's so dry.
I'm afraid that when the Rh climbs over 70% with little to no circulation, that it can have a negative impact. I'd rather not manually switch the fans to the humidity controller every day but that's certainly one option. I might try splitting up the fans across both controllers and see how that goes for a bit. I did try just switching the fans over to the humidity controller to just see how that would go.
Overall the growth on the other seedlings has been slower that I expected but they are looking really tight and compact between the small branches. One thing I'm also trying to dial in is the light intensity with the temperature. I lowered the LED light and reduced it to 75% but I didn't measure the distance from the light to the canopy or the leaf temperature yet.
Drop me some comments if you have any recommendations around training or how I might be able to automate the ventilation in a better way. I feel like it's very close to being pretty much automated on the environment but I'm still running up against a few extremes in temp/Rh.
