WEEK 1

Starting a new blog here with my second grow in my new 5gal XL autopots with the Geolite fabric pot system. We're going to be growing Mephistos Orange Biscuits (Forum Stomper x Orange Diesel) and Hartwells Rose (Double Grape x Walter White).

Really pumped on both of these strains with DGxWW being 2 monster frost bombs and the terp monster that OB is I couldn't let it go another round without her in the tent!

Running both in a 2x4 with ACI exhaust/fans and 2 Viparspectra XS1500s
5gal pots are filled 100% with Promix HP 1 plant is mixed with dynomyco one is mixed with VAM (little experiment for visual root growth at the end of grow)

Popped on 1/7 and system was turned on 1/21, starting this blog a little late but i will update with the last 3 weeks of progress.

SEED SOAK
1/2/24 Soaked in solution of .01% Ful-Humic + 5% h202 for 48 hours or until visual tails emerged,
1/4/24 Transferred to Coir plugs buffered in 7ml calmag/ga. These went back into my incubation dome for 48hrs or until cotyledon have opened.

WEEK 1
1/7/24 Transplanted to 5 Gal Fabrics and watered in with 2ml/gal calmag buffered tap.

17.5 DLI 200 PPFD 20/4 LIGHTS (looking back this might have been a touch high with tight internodal at week 3, something to consider)

Week 5

Both are showing sex at this point. Started week 4 feeding with 4G MC + .5g BE i will be adding .4g epsom salts per gal also.

Really starting to bush up so i did some heavy leaf tucking and manipulated the tops with some LST bending them away from the center of the plant creating a more even canopy.

WEEK 6

Start of week 6! Shes still trucking along. Did some minor defoliation and continued to tuck the rest that were covering budsites. Trying to keep the defol to a minimum thinking i went too far on the the last grow in here.

Started week 6 feeding by bumping PK.
Flower is in full force and stretch seems to be finished now, meristem growth seems to be sllightly awkward i will prob up Calcium this week.

WEEK 7

Week 7 and stretch seems to be coming to an end with Orange Biscuits. Hartwells rose is getting some really dark shades of green so im going to back off on the megacrop back down to 4g/gal after this reservoir change. Feeding week 7 1g/gal of bud explosion. Plants all seem to be doing really well! This OB is easily looking like atleast 12-13weeks but shes going to yeild!!

WEEK 8

I could have never imagined this OB would eclipse 3ft let alone hit 3'8!!!
Started week 8 feeding and did a little change with the feeding program now that I'm using hydrobuddy to dial in my N P K Ca Mg S
Ended up lowering the Megacrop upping the BudExplosion/Epsom/Calmag for a 1-3-3 ratio now that were into flower on both plants

HR is starting to frost up and get that sticky sweet grape candy feel/smell to it. Really excited for this one every time i open the tent, love her terps!

1gal Organics seem to be needing some help but im sticking to a no salt program for now. They're not getting much attention but prob better off that way for the project. I also added in irrigation lines to the 1gals so the tent is fully automated at this point in weekly increments. Gives me much more weekly time to putz around with the other houseplants and bother the wife :biggrin:

I really hope OB is done stretching im going to need to move the exhaust over to raise the light anymore!!

WEEK 9

Insane growth from this girl! Day56 here and shes topping 4ft!!!:yoinks:

Keeping my week 8 schedule with 1-3-3 being both plants are responding well and the fact OB is a couple weeks behind the double grape id like to keep up the high PK for her begining of flower. Both plants are stacking very well and the double grape is giving off that sweet SWEET smell of grape jelly and lemon scones! Haven't had a strong DG in the tent in a while and i dont know why!

WEEK 10

Day 63! Girls keep trucking along. Super smooth grow so far. Hartwells and the 1gal projects are way ahead of the Orange biscuits hopeing to get some more fattening on the hartwell. Id expect her to go atleast 85-90days with Orange biscuits looking closer to 100

HR is giving off massive grape terps and the OB is starting her citrus throwing as well.

WEEK 11

Week 11! So busy with life these guys have been practically growing themselves!

Orange Biscuits starting to get some swelling going on and some pistil darkening.
Harwells Rose is trying to bulk up but i noticed there was a blockage in my lines restricting waterflow, all is good now hoping she can stack up for the next 2 weeks.
Tent is smelling really nice!! not getting much orange from the OB yet but the rose stanks of grape jelly

WEEK 12

Starting to wind down the lights a tad, the hartwells rose is super larfy underneath so ill prob let her finish up to get closer to the orange biscuits, but she has a good 2 weeks left if not a third.
Drinking under a gal/day each now, bulk is happening!!
LOVEE the smell on the HR, the OB is leaning more diesel than orange/citrus at the moment. Hope he starts to pop more of those citrusy terps towards the end
As you can see i had to break out the YoYos to help with support.

Week 13

20240401_204013.jpg
Coming towards the end here! looking like this might be the last week!! buds are fattening up and everything is smelling really nice in here (honorary mention to the wedding train, she smells of dank rubber and chem!) The OB is leaning very heavy on the cookies side not getting much citrus yet, but I've read another user mention a Fanta like profile with dough in the backend and I can definitely see that coming along. The Hartwell's Rose is such a wonderful terp i really love what double grape brings to the table in flavor/frost as well.

This is the last feed reduction in terms of N steering i will do and wait for plants to start senescence to indicate harvest.
Trichs are mostly cloudy with 5% ambers so far. This week should be the end for both plants and I'm glad they are on the same timeline after the HR seemed to really take off in the beginning. I think OB was robbing a lot of water from the reservoir when i ran into the bio slime issue inhibiting water from traveling to the further plant. I will adjust plumbing for next round to mitigate this problem.

HARVEST

What a great run! Was hoping for more terp dominance from the orange biscuit's but some lowers that i pulled last week and have curing up already giving off more of that sweet syrupy orange soda aroma with some cookie dough back end.

The Hartwells Rose reminds me of why double grape is my favorite Mephisto Strain. SOOO FROSTY and STANKS of grape jelly and citrus zest. Really excited for this one.

Pulling the OB out of the tent was a chore! She toppled over and pretty much pulled its root mass up when it had no walls to keep it up.
Im hoping for a LB+ and that would blow my record out of the water of Beary White @ 287g

I had the same Suprise as you, I used Mephisto genetics for the first time--- these were autos, Ghost Toof on the left, and Mango Smile to the right. Wow, they took off like I have never seen before, before I knew it, they were 4-1/2' tall, I have bottom feeder basses so mine are a bit taller. I never LST trained before. But I'm trying it with the same strains as last time. Started off bad, I broke both stems tying it down, wasn't sure then if they would bounce back or not. but they did just fine, they are 5 weeks old now and things look great. How did your harvest go? Beautiful frosty plants!
