Plants / Strains:
First two are high CBD / low THC strains, both photos:
Both of these are around 15%-20% CBD to <1% THC.
These will be made into coconut cannabis oil.
Next, two mostly CBD strains:
CBD:THC is around 1:1 to 2:1.
First time growing Dinafem, so looking forward to her!
Hope she doesn't get too tall...
Seed City freebies, I chose for my straight THC strain, two of them:
2 Sweet Seeds: Sweet Skunk Auto (info here)Sweet seeds are great, I like them.
The Sweet Skunk should be nice and fast.
Because the first two strains are photos, the rest are autos, have a lighting issue.
The first few weeks, maybe 3 weeks, will all be together.
The grow space will stay with 24/0 lighting, best for the autos.
As for the photos... a couple of situations:
If I can be very regular / well timed, move them into a dark space at night.
I'll try this first. If they don't start to pre-flower / flower after about 1 week, then...
I may try to convince my partner to move them outside.
He really doesn't want them outside, thinks it's too dangerous.
(Even though he now knows I already have a number of outdoor plants right now...)
Or, we convert another area of the house to a proper 12/12 flowering space.
Let's see...
Lights / Space:
I've got an IKEA shelf, measuring 30cm X 90cm X 90cm high (1'x3'x3').
On the top, I have a very cheap Chinese LED COB.
It's rated at 100W true draw power, but who knows?
At 33W / sq ft should be okay. Just.
May supplement with a bunch of warm T5 23W or 25W bulbs if need be.
Medium / Pots:
The first four strains, i.e. the high CBD strains, will be in 2L pots (= 0.4 gal).
The two THC Sweet Skunks, probably in 1L pots.
Because the two 20:1 CBD:THC strains are photos, I'm worried about size.
Something says I should put them in the 1L, but then... far too small.
Maybe I'll get another two 2L pots, may be best. Anyway....
It's hopefully going to be all organic.
Have some nice German imported potting mix.
Will add a bit more perlite to it, plus small clay pebbles.
Will amend with about 20% worm castings.
A dash of chicken shit fertilizer for high Ca/Mg.
Also some kelp powder, too.
Mycorrhizae will be added.
Diatomaceous earth (esp on top, with clay pebbles).
Also have some other local generic organic flowering / fruiting fert pellets.
Have some generic hydro chem fert just in case.
My indoor herb garden has recently had a lot of fungus gnats.
We're also growing some regular mushrooms inside, which is not helping.
So, have been doing a big clean up of that, with mosquito bits, neem, sticky traps.
I plan to move my herbs (basil, etc.) out to the window sill today,
and harvest all my veges (lettuce, kale, rocket) in the little DWC unit.
Then I'll drop these seeds, and ready the next round of vegetables, too.
May be a few days until we have plants above ground. Hold tight!
