Live Stoner Chat 10 Strains From the '90s You Don't See Anymore

a buddy came back from Vietnam with a set of pioneer studio monitor's stuffed full of red Lebanese hash with a government stamp on it :drool:tasty stuff.

I've read that in the real old days naked men used to run through the marijuana field and then would scrape the resin off their bodies. Then they would roll it up into balls (less surface area exposed to air).

***No naked dudes were scraped in this production***

I'm a sucker for oldschool strains...cant help it! I knew the instant I saw the genes on Delicious Seeds Fruity Chronic Juice I was sold.(Chronic X White Widow) Cant wait to get her flowered and trimmed!(prefower now...yes!)

I had a friend who knew some Jamaicans that came to visit family in this country...the relative here saw them arrive with a duffel bag stuffed with coffee grounds...

"What are you doing?"

"Bringin' in our coffee."

"Why do you have so much? There's like 50 pounds of...oh, oh man. That's not coffee, is it?"

<grin> "Show ya right".

Mate of mine still holds a old Sensi Seeds Nl 5 which he inbred since ages now. Always a powerfull and tasty smoke when the outdoor season is over. Also Nlx is circling around over here a lot. For me one of the Ultimate smokes from the early 90s is still the Skunk No 2 Red Hair which was used to cross the Original Jack Herer Strain. It was so strong you almost puked your lungs out.

That skunk sounds like something that i had a couple of times in Brighton in the UK back in the 90s, was nicknamed Red Beard but never got the real name, but was a real red haired skunk with a potency just like you mention and is still the only strain to this day that turned me white as a sheet and put me in a vomiting fit for a good half hour.

Well I grew up in the 80's my favorite was............I have know idea. I only really remember $25 an 8th If it was $35 It was the good shit. Now I heard of most of these strains but i didn't really pay attention until I joined the army and got stationed in Germany and would head on over to Amsterdam on the weekends. I tried a whole lot but the cheapest was Bubble Gum Skunk and It blew me away.....Don't really remember those 3 years either.

I'm a real fan of Northern Lights ever since I was gifted a cutting in the mid 90's which I grew on for 5 years or so. I've tried a few NL autos but none of them have quite made the grade for me - I guess that's largely down to the difference between a select cutting and growing from seed.

Whilst I'd heard of Durban Poison at the time the closest I ever came to it was knowing somebody who had once smoked some weed in Durban. Last winter I got some Durban Poison seeds and had a photoperiod grow (yes, I'm ready to be berated for that grow). It's now one of my all time favourites.

Despite all the supercoolradness of whatever strain is currently the next big thing, I still think that the old classics are just as good.
