Wow so I put some of that super moldy old dirt in my new dirt last night I checked it today and this stuff is going crazy it's going to be all I can do to just keep it worked in. Is it bad to mix this stuff once a day or every other day if I don't the mold wi literally become an inch thick over the whole top of the dirt

super moldy old soil?lol! uhhh thats kinda hard to say man. if its that active something could be outta balance.but generally its a good thing but if you cant tamp it and each time you mix it it does tha same thing fine but assuming you mix it completely each week for the first two weeks then it should sit for two then a mix then another cpl weeks but should need to mix it daily and i solid mix needs time to blend undisturbed actually.

The older really moldy soil was the pic neko posted for me last night I mixed some of that into my mix of the cotton seed fish and kelp meals I mixed it in last night and I'd say I have about 30% mold coverage on the top
I am mixing thoroughly every other day or else like I say the mold gets to be about 70 to 80% coverage and it's think too. The mix is nice and warm inside that's for sure
As far as tamping it I just leave it nice and fluffy will the mold get to a point where it is how it is and I just should let it go for a few more days and then mix?
As for plants smelling they smell quite fine haha but since they are about to start popping buds I'm wondering if you can recommend an odor control method I have a ventech carbon filter hut it doesn't seem to be working so I'm thinking about dumping the money into a phresh filter as I hear they are much better
As for air exchange my tent is 5x5x7 I have some ducting bringing colder air in from outside into the bottom and obviously my carbon filter up top hooked into a 450 cfm 6 inch fan I have good negative air pressure in the tent as the sides are sucked in really good.
One theory I had that I bounced off neko was that my fan is to powerful for the filter but I'm also thinking ventech is cheap Chinese crap and I should have spent the extra coin on a phresh to begin with

When I mentioned other smells in my tent in my last post I was referring to the fish emulsion I watered in a few weeks back man my whole basement stunk haha

Alright sounds good man I was freaking stoked to see the hairs in my blue amnesia plants this morning lol I'm growing 2 blue amnesia and 2 lemon haze but I'm thinking about getting rid of one of each for the sake of keeping the smell under control but I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do
Not sure where your grow space is but you could use an ozone generator in a room outside your grow space. You could also try using Ona gel as is or in an Ona bucket just outside your grow space. Some people would probably say it's fine to use Ona directly in your grow space, others would say it isn't so I'll leave that to you but the ozone generator absolutely should not share space with your plants because it can damage them. That said it works very well to eliminate smells that have escaped the grow space.

oh yeah those work ok no doubt.the ion machine thingy is expensive but the ona's work well but imo id just work your soil in time so you wont have to use fish short of a tea. i had smells when i started growing indoors organics now all i smell are plants. so to me that green growing n soil smell are normal ofcourse ,but it should mellow out in a few days.two days for me when i used it.but teas shouldnt smell that much in my experiences.:Sharing One:have a great day all. n stay warm n stoned daily.

I must have misunderstood, I thought he was specifically concerned about the smell of the weed. As far as the ozone goes they actually make wall plug style that I've had some success with. This model in particular.
