Writing Ideas

well I was tinkering about and thought id share some other basic information which many should try and understand as im certain many do at this point possibly.but its just a short explination of the goings on and the engine essentially as you'll know it as.no need to get all small..LMFAO like smaller n such.from here you work to the bigger picture.

and just take it from here really assuming your going to use a decently proven soil mix or bagged soil that'll be added to with other foods and inoculates.

this one is a little overly comprehensive for some imo but the start up premise is there.

Well ive taken what you've all said and suggested and thank you.any other ideas would be appreciated too btw.

but,I think ill talk about Autos As wel all like since the soil is the same for photos or autos just a different strengths and some smaller additions to the mix i like.which we all knoiw is the revs mix but ive come to the conclusion is does lack ina few small areas.nothing big, just not a complete water only system as he describes it.also the smells of when you mix a soil and it reminds you of when you were really young if your of a certain age and remeber the smells of the dirt when the soil and dirt we played in as a kid was a lot more healthier and more wide spread.it smells like that.if you dont remeber it'll bring back memories too.but its the trace and cooking mix once its blended for a cpl weeks it'll smell like magic and ill talk about the level and mixing variations too.Pic pics n more pics.recycling soil my way using the 2.1 recipe as my template which ive gotten down pretty good at this point imho. but thos e are where im at along with touchin a lil more on the Rhizosphere as the Rev barely touches on too.

making your own stuff from a bagged mix and even turning that bagged soil into a super potent workable system of soil to use as a mostly(not all)water only system too.a few other things but ...lol

I've read the revs book so many times now. One of the things that put me off tlo was the availability of some of the ingredients in the uk. Without the book in front of me I couldn't tell you what exactly. But off the top of my head, steamed bone meal and also different grades - fine, course.
I found oyster shells but only for bird cages, when I asked the supplier they couldn't tell me if it was suitable for an organic grow. Greensand doesn't seem to be available over here.

So my question, after a lot of waffle, could you suggest alternatives?

I have never been a big fan of rev. That being said, I don't want to butt in on EoF's thread but I have a ton of different possibilities for soil amendments. I don't use greensand myself and although I do use oyster shell there are many alternatives. Plus, oyster shell is useless if you don't reuse the soil because it takes so long for it to break down. Soil is so dynamic that the possibilities are endless and I am sure you can find what you need in the UK. I will send you a pm of the different amendments that are interchangeable shortly. I am about to leave work at the moment but will get it to you this evening.

Thanks everyone!!means a lot.ya'll are helping me with a more ballanced write up thingy.ya'll gotta remeber Im still learning a good bit too.ive done this for a cpl yrs or so but Im ALWAYS testing soils and combos ,mixes ect... to literally redo my prior soil which is awesome for a good photo grow.but autos twas snot sooo much LOL!! but I have may ideas of my things related to growing in general.

Hey A4 bro, appreciate you swinging by brother!!Like I always say man, your the man (WIZARD) for taking many other amendments and sourcing them elsewhere too.Ya da fuckin man in my book bro!!
I too am not a big fan of him either believe it or not.I have several issues with his writings and his mellow mix and what seems as political or monetary clout that Im just not into.plus he doesnt give that specific set of imquiries due justice to help EVERYONE not just ppl willing to shell out 150 bucks US with his recipe.so please feel free you've helped me learn too brotha man,you can take that to the bank my friend.:smoke:

but yeah bro, just ask Brother 4man Foreman LMFAO ok FINE im baked LMFAO!! but I can tell you crabshell9hit the local piers for fish n make you own fishy stuffs, get the crabshells n the like dry em up after washing them and use eggshells and also am even mix ogf lightly browned eggshells to to a good mix is awesome too!this run ive applied cal mag once and twice the prior grow too.purty nifty LOL!! lemme know what else, but green sand i have a decent alternative to sorta but ill have to get my paper cuz im baked n lazy n just chilling atm LOL!as usual whate else is new eh?!LMFAO! but oyster shells crushed small are best if you have the time but added to a mix is great WITH the early breaking down of the other shells they al work nicely together imo. I also know dazed hit thi sissue too and he got a bone and fish meal that I looked at and its a solid alternative to whatcha want ,hoof n horn meal Id use as well that ive looked at.a lil hot for my tastes but TOTALLY doable at the right mix.id say cut that hoof n horn by saayyy, roughly 25-30% compared to blood meal.it a but more potent it seems. ill get back to you on the rest.Plus with Foremans LMFAo A4's help im sure yer plenty good on that now bro!!
"AFN smoke out"

Thanks brother for your assistance my good man!:Sharing One:

I kinda like my greensand :) maybe it's useless, idk, but hey its green sand haha, there's gotta be something yummy in it lol. I also figure it's gotta help drainage a bit too. I'm also diggin on cottonseed meal lately, but it's pretty potent one one of the numbers so I go real light on it.

Cotton seed meal is great stuff just used sparingly as ya know.I used it in loose made tea as well as bonemeal for the same reason back when I started to do the tea and use the loose tea stuffs for a top coating an turn that into the topcoat sometimes.Green sand does a few things.adds for root development (as is the more course addition along with others)for a roughage such as regular old sand added.drainage, root sitmulation and provided excellent stuff for seedlings mixes too.along with boosting various things when added to a good blending of green sand, ewc and a bokashi mix lightly within a seedling mix.I like that.really does well if you get the strength donw early on.i love green sand for making several things.i personally feel its very universal in many ways along with adding addition areas where you can learn to mix seedling mixes ,topcoating, even teas for an early boosting too.

Hey, whats up man! Glad to hear your going through with it. Thats awesome! Definitely excited for you bro. Not to sure I have much to offer or add, but if I think of anything while I read about your progress on the project. Ill definitely speak up my friend.:Sharing One:

Hmmm..Ive never even heard of green sand. What exactly is that?

Well i thought Id let the package tell you a little more about it in specifics.but ive used it in teas, seedling mixes, topcoats ,soil amendments in general and the onlything i think is its marine based form of greensand.since Im of the opinion that sea based is fantastic as we all know.but i think in either a combo useage and/or soley used might well be superior and have the plant respond so well.hence why I really kinda like frass LOL! a land based version of that.well you could just use a soak and literally soak sand n dry it out with a mild potash kicker actually.ive done soils like that with excellent results too.YEAH im lazy LOL!
