100% Organic Grow.

Greensand doesn't seem to be available over here.

So my question, after a lot of waffle, could you suggest alternatives?

https://www.autoflower.org/f89/uk-tlo-recipe-links-products-38101.html Here is a list of stuff I put up tonight Gman, included a ton of links to supplies in the UK. Greensand is a good for Potassium but also contains a lot of minerals and trace elements. I use langbeinite because of the fast release on it and I have a ton of trace minerals in my soil from other products. Absolutely nothing wrong with it but there are hundreds of different amendments that can be used to replace one. It isn't so much the amendment itself that is important as the nutrients/minerals in the amendment. You can always find something to replace it.

Hey A4 bro, appreciate you swinging by brother!!Like I always say man, your the man (WIZARD) for taking many other amendments and sourcing them elsewhere too.Ya da fuckin man in my book bro!!

I am no wizard man, lol, I am just a student. No more, no less. I hope you don't mind me posting this in your thread. I thought about sending Gman a PM but this thread is so important I thought it better to put it where everyone could see it. Yes, I am not blowing smoke up your backside, I do believe this thread will be alive long after us and I am sure it will be helpful to those studious enough to read and learn.

I kinda like my greensand :) maybe it's useless, idk, but hey its green sand haha, there's gotta be something yummy in it lol. I also figure it's gotta help drainage a bit too. I'm also diggin on cottonseed meal lately, but it's pretty potent one one of the numbers so I go real light on it.
I agree Anthrop, wasn't bashing it at all, it is excellent stuff but my main goal is to get people to think outside the box. Rev likes to sell "his" style and products and there is nothing wrong with that if you are into capitalism and making money off of people. I am more an open source kind of guy and like to put everything out there to see and let people build off of it. My goal is to say, HEY, you don't HAVE to have anything specific. Greensand is good if it is local and you can get it for a good price but if not then use some sul-po-mag or potash and azomite or glacial rock dust. It will work just as well. My thing when I decided to go total living organics was to find products that were 1)organic, 2)local, 3)cheap and 4)healthy. I don't use cotton meal because of the GMO and pesticides used in cotton. The same with my SST. I use my own corn and locally sourced organic barley so I know it is organic and has no pesticides in it. The biggest thing is, don't get locked in thinking you have to use one certain type of amendment. If you can't find it locally then look up the NPK/Trace Mineral analysis on it and find something that matches it. People in Asia or England may not have green sand, that doesn't mean they don't have good soil or can't create their own without buying some from the States. They just have to find what their local alternative is to it. Good soil is everywhere, it is our job to figure out what our local soil consists of and replicate it.

Sorry for the long post. Just trying to get the word out that one ingredient doesn't make or break us. We just have to look around at what is sitting next to us.

Thanks for your patience EoF, once again, my apologies man.

Hmmm. Sounds like some good stuff. Surprised I’ve never heard of it. Or else I just forgot I did lol. Tis what I get for being baked when I read here."JM's a Hippy"

Massive thank you to A4 & eof.
I've got a lot of reading to do now, but I'm feeling much more confident in attempting a tlo grow. I'm not rushing though and I'm sure I'll have lots more questions yet :)

Oh snap, I hadn't even thought about the gmo / pesticide / chems issues on the cotton and probably the cottonseed meal too :( I'm using the Epsoma brand like most, and blindly assumed it'd be clean and clear of all that. There's actually no telling if it is or isn't :/ hmmm. That's something I'll have to think deeply about going forward.

Yep, I agree with you Anthrop, there is no way to be sure. I have read numerous articles on it and most all of them say stay away from any cotton or corn based products as they are the most GMO modified and most of them are modified specifically to be resistant to glysophate or Roundup as we like to call it in the States. Is it in it? Beats me but there is a lot of other stuff I can use that I am positive doesn't have it so I prefer to err on the side of caution. Maybe I am overly cautious but I figure if I can reliably use something else, screw it.

like I always say brother,if ya got something ta say man,say it LOL!!lend, share LOL!all good.GMO is an issue.I built my TLO after the revs mix.in which much more than the basic stuff for a recipe I tend pretty much have taken what hes given me and expanded on it with other items as well.I am more of a feather meal kinda guy in all honesty.I personally find cottenseed meal to be good, but it seem to have an odd structure and feeding characteristic imo compared to feather meal.imo GMO can be connected to soo many things, its the big evil empire we all hate.I as well,be me?Im almost forced to use these products since I dont go around town n pick away at farms n stuff.mostly cuz im unable.so I make my own Big bloom essentially, have made my own sand thats been treated with a moister spray of Potash and mixed with GDR or azomite.and thats my green sand when I was tinkering.but for ease of use I buy whats local.THAT is why yer a wizard dude.you have similar as well as answers that are far different from mine cuz you look for these things and I cannot.unless i stumble onto something good thats local n cheap.all these bag are right about 10 Bucks US in my area so its cheap anough and 1 bag last a few grows.

thats like Iva always said to our brother n sister across the way a bit there, that the products are there.all your doing is looking at levels and numbers and compare it to the recipes you see with the same numbers n things and prep accordigly.its all a very close knit circle that can be utilized in various way.always n forever LOL!

thanks again A4 bro,i too use all kinds of things outside of their intended uses too and mix n match to literally make up something else that will expand on a said issue/use what have ya!!LOL!!Awesome!!

Speaking of organic lol, hey Eyes you like those RAW brand organic hemp papers? Ever tried em? Thinking of trying them... I'm not much for joints anyway but figured I'd try em when I'm in the mood sometime hah.

yeah I like a good joint man.im oldschool that way.or a good mostly clean bowl with some hempwick maybe.but ive tried the Elements n they were ok.Im a ole zigzig fan man!got the lungs to prove it LMFAO!! but I wanna try them Raw's man.lemme know whatcha think if ya try em man.i wanna vape pen or a nice volcano actually.buuut.my old vape pen i bought years ago was great for the time but it just crapped on my a time ago.battery failed.pissed me off.its a hefty surger tooLOL!oh well, one day down the road LOL!

Yeah I've got some on order, will let ya know. After quitting cigs a couple yrs ago, I've been more concerned with what I'm smokin. Usually I just like my good old fashioned grampa's stone pipe hahaa. But with the cold and holidays comin up, methinks some joints may be in order lol, and I like that the Raw ones come in an unbleached organic option. The regular ones are still hemp paper, but are bleached and don't think they claim "organic" but we all know that's probably just marketing anyways lol. Now, me only problem is, I can't barely make it halfway through a yoint of the herb around now LOLS! Back in the day when all we had around was nappy seeded mexi brick dirt weed, we could smoke 10 in a row and still want 10 more lol. It's going to be funny to see how far I can make it now through a yoint of the good stuff in the jars now :)

oh yeah its marketing, hands down.money hungry shits LMAO!! they are excellent papers from what ive heard.LMFAO dude,we would burn big ole doobers man back in the day of mexi weeds man..uuugh!!but now?sheeeit,i'll take three to smoke a whole bowl usually, depending what Im smoking and if you cant get off or relax your whatever ails ya,ya need to switch strains LOL!!thats all!!so awesome!!
