Lighting 1000 Watt Seedlings

Hello Fellows,

I have a digital ballast. Should I have my seedlings at 1000 watt or 600 watt? My concern is too 1000 watt being too much for the seedlings unless I raise it high enough that will stretch them.

600 watt is enough for seedlings until they are around 30 days.

I jus used a 1000w to germinate straight in woul I turned it down to 600 till the plant had 4 leaves and was more established then I have had it on full power since with it about 20 something inches away and my plants are doing amazing it's not touch much light
