I just read an article about a light schedule called 12/1. (For Photos)
For the VEG cycle it's; 12 hours ON, 5.5 hours O
, 1 hour ON, 5.5 hours O
For the FLOWERING cycle it's; Begin at 11 hours ON, 13 hours O
for two weeks. Then drop the lighting period for 30 minutes, I.E. 10.5 hours ON, 13.5 O
. Continue this 30 minute drop every two weeks until you reach 9 hours ON, 15 hours O
. Finish the FLOWERING at this light cycle.
The article states that you need to break up the photosynthesis dark period with an hour of light to maintain VEG, and in doing so give the plants a massive darkness/growth period.
Any truth to this. I imagine this would be for photos, not autos.
