Newbie question! Are these the pistils?There are some which have white tips coming out at the end I hope it's starting to flower - it has a nice weed smell now, pretty mild but getting stronger each day!

Don't think they're pistils in the first pic, look like stipules dude. . They appear on the stalk and are normal. Pistils are like very small skinny roots that pop out of a calyx (like a little pod) beside the stipules first. . Males have little sacks that look like balls and are usually in small clusters (2-3 tight together) . .The female pistils start popping up on branches for your budsites and that's when it gets exciting!!. . . If i'm wrong someone with more experience will correct me. Almost sure i'm correct bro (cocky i know ha)

thanks man i'll keep checking them. not tried it yet as wasn't sure when to begin. was going to wait for pistils as ther'sso much growth I dunno where the bud sites are lol!i'm gonna check out some videos see if I can get a better idea but might try lst tomorrow! by the way you have a grow going on at the mo?
Yeah man have 3 Auto Blueberry on the go, 6 weeks today since they broke the soil!! Didn't do a journal though because the computer was f'd the first few weeks and I didn't have time. . Posted some pics up when they were starting budsites in New Growers Forum somewhere. If you go to my profile, my threads and look at "what do you think of these babies" you can see a rough idea on budsites in the pictures. It was maybe 2 weeks ago or so . . . They're almost totally yellow (leaves) at this stage (either cal/mag/nitrogen deficiency. . . Or all 3 lol) But the buds are getting fatter, stickier and so stinky. . Almost like a real sweet citrus/fruit smell. . . So I reckon they'll JUST make it the whole way by the skin of their teeth!! Also have a Shot Adrenaline 15 days old today I got as a freebie and threw it in the grow so I can hopefully try a sativa!! I'll throw pics up soon and start a journal next time around . . . I'm very lazy
Yeah it wouldn't be a bad idea to wait and see where your budsites pop up first. You might just get away with a bit of simple leaf tucking. All you really want is your budsites in perfect view of the light. That's the whole idea you'll see how tall and branchy they can get. One of my ladies grew right up to 30 inches, bitch wouldn't stop haha. . Patience is a must for the new growers like us!
