Newbie question! Are these the pistils?There are some which have white tips coming out at the end I hope it's starting to flower - it has a nice weed smell now, pretty mild but getting stronger each day!

hey guys just woke up this morning to a major concern!! the lower leaves are discolouring, they are just going lighter green in patches almost yellow. its not at the tips it is in patches over the leaves surfaces. it is confined to the older leaves at the bottom but I want to try and stop it in case it spreads to new growth. Anyone have any idea what is causing and how to fix?
I've had a look around but cant see any info to accurately diagnose!

also, I haven't given any nutes yet it has just been receiving water had one feed bout week ago very light mix and thats when it took off growing. I haven't given it any since.

i posted a thread in the infirmary and it's N def. apparently so i gave him a light feeding hope it helps fingers x'ed. I also found some potassium nitrate i use to make smoke bombs i think it's good for plants so i might try it next feed. anyone used this before?

Before you use any of that potassium nitrate - do you know what the pH of your soil is? If could just be that you're starting to suffer from pH lockout.

i only have a crappy soil tester cost about £7 it reads about 6.9 at the mo.

Bro, Bubbles (without exaggeration) helped to save my life. I was at the lowest point of my life when I discovered Trailer Park Boys, and Bubbles' attitude had a huge role in lifting me out of the shitstorm and changing how I viewed a lot of things. :trichs::trichs:

As far as the soil pH meter goes, I would HIGHLY recommend snagging a Control Wizard Accurate 8 probe. Check out this thread for info: Control Wizard Accurate 8 pH Meter

It is hands down one of the most important tools a grower can have, and it pays to spend the extra bucks to get a good one. I learned that after throwing out three $15 probes that constantly read 7.0.

Until you get a good soil probe, you can get a decent idea of where your soil pH is by testing your runoff if you have an accurate pH pen. The formula for calculating your soil's pH based on runoff readings is in the pH thread that I linked to above.
