Hello all I'd like some advice

I have successfuly germinated 5 fast bud 2 seeds from sweet seeds ( viva españa!))
I used peat pellets and transfered them to 1 ltr pots as. Roots where showing.

I only used tap water which I did not ph having checked ph with a photometer and phenol red tabs I took a reading of 7.2 for incoming mains. The ph meter I have is faulty so I need to. Get a new one.

I have been recommended to use Diahydro it' fossil gravel from Peru apparently better then clay balls.

I have fed with vitalink plant start once I transfered them to the pots with Diahydro.

They have been under 2 55 w t5 but now under a 600w duel spectrum hps

I feel after reading about autoflowers they are best suited to soil the Diahydro absorbs lots of fluid. So had one case of overwatering I was wondering if I transfered them to 11ltr pots filled with all mix bio bizz would they suffer shock?

As no one seems to use Diahydro have I been sold le a medium that's no good for autoflowers

I was planning on using an iws dripper system with more Diahydro

Any advice would be much appreciated

Hi Green, I don't know anything about Diahydro but

1. some autoflower strains love hydro, especially DWC, who told you they don't like it? and

2. Whether you can transfer depends on how old the plant is, if it's still a young seedling and the roots haven't grown too much then it should be ok. It will definitely stress the plant. Root systems grow differently in hydro, and the more developed the root system is the harder will be the switch.

I have personally never done this, and I woudn't do it if the roots were already coming out of your 1 ltr pot of Diadhyro because it would cause too much damage. But I see no reason not to stick to your original idea of drip-feed.

How old/tall is she? Pictures are always really helpful, also if you can make a picture of the growing medium you are using maybe someone will recognise it. What were the signs of over-watering? I germinate my seeds in peat pellets which are saturated with aerated water, I know this is apparently not good for them but they seem to love it.

Thanks for the response

I decided to obtain a 40 ltr bag of diahydro and used 6 18ltr pots I cut out the bottom of the smaller pots and buried them into the the 18ltr pots.

I am feeding them with home and garden a + b aqua flakes, h&g roots excelorator h&g mutlizyme, great whitebeneficial bacteria and lastly budlink.

Just started there 3rd week

They are coming on fine from the semi transplant

Diahydro apparently is better than coco thats the marketing speal it releases silica into the plant but I am not to sure. It maybe be hype.

I am feeding 4 times a day

High!

Sounds like your are doing well....

Any pics?

Peace!
