Delicious Northern Lights Blue (Fem)
1st pic: Germinated seed Day -1. Soaked in water for 12 hrs then
moved to damp paper towel in a blown up zip lock for 24 hrs.
2nd & 3rd pics: Seedling Day 0. Planted sprout in sterilized peat
after 36 hr germination period.

Thanks nomiss! That's actually a hvac floor register being used as the passive air intake. Although I am not overly concerned with "stealth", I am thinking of making a charcoal scrubber that will fit internally behind the register to block most the light. I'm getting plenty airflow, so doubt it adversely affect circulation.

Added circulation fan to help 'em grow strong. Got a thermometer/hygrometer so I can monitor temps more closely. Still only using the 6-bulb overhead due to heat issues. Need to go semi-stealth so I can "crack" the storage closet door for more fresh air. Elevated the DNLB to get her closer to the lights.


This is the DNLB after being in peat for 24 hours! She be tiny, but spreading her wings. First set of real leaves already showing! Not bad for Day 1.


Day 11 for the SSO. Continues to spread out but holding its short stature. This in in a 5-1/2" pot.

Damn cold front came in last night. Temp dropped to 59 degrees in my box. Turned on the 8x 23w CFL perimeter lights and stabilized temp at 72-77 deg. Decided to bring em indoors for the night as its supposed to get down to single digits. May have to setup temp lighting tomorrow to keep them inside till this cold passes.

Day 12 for the SSO.

Day 2 for the DNLB

Keeping both plants indoors until cold front leaves. Transplanted DNLB into 5-1/2� square container. Set up temporary lighting with two 23w 5000k CFLs over SSO and one of the same over the DNLB. Both are liking their changes. Hooked up timer to go 20/4. Will be watching SSO closely now for signs of sex. Hoping for a girl so I can do a partial sex change to collect pollen.
