how come i have a feeling once the outer soil from the canna professional kicks in... the leaves turn yellow... please correct me if i'm wrong.. .. i havent use any nuts yet just distilled water..

i will test ph again today... i will also try another plant without using canna pro and just use the canna terra and flower when its time for nuts... i notice it seems that the soil im using for the inner part as a buffer for the canna pro is working much better..... :2cents:

any suggestion is appreciated ... im getting desperate ... :jump:

thanks guys!.. peace out! :wiz:

Maybe over watering. If your still using CFL bulbs move the plant within 2in and let it dry out. When mine are that size they get about 6oz of water every 5 days or so. Unless someone else chimes in in i say let it dry. Water the soil, not the plant. Your soil should be pulling away from the side of your pot and the pot will feel light before you water again:peace:

edit- Over watering may cause to much fertilizer to be released in the soil, if the soil has any in it. That can cause a problem early in the plants life.

Thanks for the insight Unholyfire  ,.. come to think of it.. you might be right... i have ask my friend and he said that he watered it twice in 5 days.. and i left him with a 1,5l water.. i'll move it up closer to the light hopefully it will recover :), in a pc box.. do you mist ?.. or just water on the sides?..

thanks again! really appreciated.. :)

I only water the soil. The most water i have ever given mine at any watering/feeding is 20oz but im only growing in 22oz cups. I have also found better drainage i have, faster my my soil drys, the better my plants grow. I line the bottom all my cups/pots or whatever with a few small pea gravel to help with drainage. I have very light soil if there is such a thing. I take the amount that im going to use completely dry before putting it in the pot. Not only did it help with my over watering problem it also put a stop to the fungus gnat problem i was having every new grow. Hope that makes since and helps:peace:

@unholyfire:
the next two seeds.. i will use black 1l round pots..... and stack them like yours.. :) i have to remind myself not over water them... i just got the impression that when the top layer of soil is dry.. 'water it' :(

edit: i just found 22oz pots... !... yipee.. !.. i always assume that the plants are going to need big pots.. and looking at everyones pictures.. they look huge!.. :) lol

i'm in the process of drying her out... giving a rest from watering , btw if the leaves are yellow ... does that mean we can't safe them already ?.. and that we just look forward hoping for the rest of the new leaves will be fine..

distance from cfl 1-2 inch .. i plan to feed her maybe tomorrow.. when i do... can i start her on nuts... or stick with distilled water as usual .. ?.. she's be 4 weeks from seeds tomorrow..

peace out.. :wiz:

question of my day.. :D

i notice some in youtube,etc.. on pc grow boxes, that they start the seedling from below and let it just grow to the light..
i was wondering in a PC grow with CFL, what the target for light distance...? if it's 5-6 inch wouldn't be better so you can get a taller plant, since it chases the light.... if we put it... under 3 inches.. will it stop the plant from growing taller?.. my :2cents:

In a PC grow the goal is a small plant with tighter node spacing to keep the plant short. If you set the light that high above the plants your node spacing will be greater and you could end up with plants that are too tall for your space. I would suggest you keep them low.

Sorry bro internet been down. If i would have continued to grow in a pc i was going to order some 5x5 black pots. they would work perfect. Something like this> http://www.atlantishydroponics.com/NGW-525-Black-Plastic-Pot-4530
I was going to mount my lights with magnets but i feared of them falling (as i had read of it happening) then i was going to hang them with string & i dont know why i did not do it like that. I just mounted mine with screws and moved the plants to them. Also helps if you have 2 different sizes of plants.
