Hi Guys
Decided to start my own grow, So i decided to build my own grow box, trying to keep it stealthy so its only small 60x60x90cm.
Currently i have 2 plants about 6 days old. A white widow Auto and a AK47 Auto from Vision Seeds.
Medium
Growing in straight Cana Coco in 2 Gallon bags with cana A & B nutes.
Lights
So far i have 1 125 watt 6000k Cfl, I will be getting more lighting but still undecided if i should change the bulb to a 200watt 2500k or get a LED UFO 50W to supplement the cfl or a 90W LED only.
Not sure on that so any suggestions would be appreciated?

Additions
I have one Pc fan that is extracting air and seems to be working well. I will Eventually and another fan but temps have been good on not exceeding 28 degrees Cel. As for the smell im looking to make my own carbon filter and afew of those odor eliminators that are sold at hydroponics stores.

Please guys if you have any suggestions please help me out
Thanks
Flip.

Kewl. So far the two plants look pretty healthy, They had good growth from seed to sprout it only was 2 days before they were the height in the photo just over an inch high but have not grown much height since then.

Im still abit unsure on when i should start to feed them with the nutes, maybe when they are two weeks old? and only using half the recommended nutrients?

What do you guys think i should do about lighting?? Im thinking of getting a 50W ufo LED light to supplement the 125watt CFL, or...........get a 200W cfl 2500K to replace the one i Have??

??????????????????????????????HHhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I find a good guide when to start feeding seedlings is when the cotyledon leaves start going yellow, usually around two weeks.
Half strength to start with is a bit savage,i start at about an eighth strength,or about 200ppm and work from there.
Do you have a tds meter and a ph meter? They are an essential part of kit growing in coco.
Maybe a few smaller wattage cfls would be best way to go for your lighting, you might not have the height for a led.
You could have done with some perlite in your coco, for drainage and aereation.
Good luck with your grow flip.

Thanks redrobbo,

So you recommend only going 1/8 strength with nutes at the beginning? I wasn't sure if there is enough nutrients in the coco initially from new but the plants seem to be doing fine, i will keep an eye on the cotyledon leaves and go easy on the nutes. I have a PH tester and will get a tds meter soon.

My main concern is with lighting, its only a small space.

I think i will just add another 130 cfl in there in 2-3 weeks time

My goal is to hopefully produce 1 ounce per plant so hopefully this is enough light
I dont want any noise or excessive heat issues
Thanks

Coco has no nutes in it,thats why its great for seedlings, gets them off to a great start.
GL flip.
