Super excited today guys as I have ordered two lightly used D-Pappilon Lights for the bargain price of £500! Am expecting to take delivery of them in a couple days, now does anyone have any experience using these new Philips 315w lamps (930 agro) especially with autoflowers? I have grown with CFL, LED and HPS in the past, but never MH. These new LEC bulbs though have got me excited so for the first time in a couple of years I was moved to splash some cash and (hopefully) enhance the grow. Grow journals are a little thing on the ground still but I have read several that show one of these lights yielding a pound or more. GPW figures are insane with even noobs breaking 1gpw. One of these lights will definitely be partnered with an oxypot and used with my last think different bean... as for the other light im undecided as yet as to how I should put it to use first. Its tempting to use the pair of them on a single TD and see what kind of a monster I can grow. My best TD was 15 oz and change from a 600w HPS. I think its possible to break 20 ounces with 630w of D Pap lighting up a TD as long as the pheno is right.... decisions decisions, any suggestions guys???

Holy shit, I fired these lights up for the first time today and all I can say is OMG, what a surreal effect these lights have, it really is like daylight. Its simply astonishing to witness. Now I see what all the fuss was about with plasma to people who saw it. Im gonna prep my growroom tomorrow and start off a Think Different bean I have left here. I will definitely be applying sunscream whilst working around these lights, whilst there was no radiant heat to speak of I could feel a sensation akin to sunburn within a few seconds of exposure. Thats the UV at work right there, im undecided how happy I am to have it around to be honest haha. Its a little unsettling...

I have a D-Papillon as well, I don't think the dual jacket bulbs let out any uv. So far the best grow light I've tried though, huge yields of sticky frosty buds with only 315w. Definitely better than my old 400w retro white CMH.

Ive just popped a think different in today, so will start a new thread shortly documenting my first grow using one of these new lights. The other seems destined for a separate tent where it will most likely be paired with a 600w HPS

any ideas on your final yield/gpw figure using only a 315w DPap? auto or regular?

I hit 350g with my DPAP running 2 LA confidential which is a low yeilder, running bubbaXberry diesel after my pheno hunt on it is over, hoping for 600+ in my 1.2squared. LOVE LOVE LOVE my DPAP!!!!

Without a doubt best luminaire on the market until the dual bulb 630w comes out!!!

I haven't fully utilized my grow space with the light yet, but I did get about 120 grams from a Spyder in 6.5l of coco. So with 4 autos and a capable (auto)grower you could probably get atleast 400 grams in my 80x80x150cm tent.

[EDIT] I'm aware that the plants were not very healthy.
