So if you get 22oz from five plants, you should be pulling down 13 oz every two weeks...hmm, that sounds like a lot of hash making

I have grown in a 4x8 tent with 2 1000w lights. What will you do about heat? and you should turn your hoods around so the air flow wont have to make so manny bends..

I have to position the lights like this in order to fit 4 of the hoods I want into the tent, and I'm going for maximum even coverage with more lights instead of 2 1000 watters.
I'm pretty sure heat won't be much of an issue. The hoods and tent can be cooled with air from outside if they need it. It's pretty cold right now where I'm at and will be for the next 5 months. Aside from that I have a window AC I could run to the tent, and also could run run air from outside or the A/C into the room to keep it cool. The tent is in a non heated area so I don't think heat will be a problem at all. I'll have to tweak the fan settings to get the temp right, and also have digital temp controllers I can use on the Fans, A/C, Heat or whatever I might need. One thing I do know is Temp control will be automated.
What really does have me worried is Pests. I'm guessing I will have to draw cold air in from outside to keep everything cool and although I will be using a Dust Shroom hepa filter I'm still leery.
I didn't have any mites in my last grow, but my outside shit was hit hard so I know they are around. I can just see how appealing a nice heated tent would be to a mite in the winter. Heard good things about Mighty Wash, but I'll cross that bridge if it comes.
I'll be so pissed if I ended up with mites on a grow like this.
I'm sure I could control them, but it would be a hell of a lot of work and I Definitely wouldn't enjoy it.

Ahh I see about the hoods... I also had these tents in a area that had cement floors and no extra heat.. Only when I added the CO2 burners did it start to heat up fast...funny you should mention bugs...because I was pulling in air from outside mites from rose bushes near by invaded my last run..womens stockings on all intakes from now on... Also those hanging bug things from home depot work like magic...

Oh man, that had to suck. I've also got my garden out back where I know there are plenty of mites. It's cold out, but I've heard they can stay dormant for a year. I'm not sure the cold actually kills them. So pantyhose actually do the trick?

Hey Fam.

Seeds came in yesterday. 7 days from the day I ordered, that's gotta be a record! Usually takes 3 weeks. :smoke:
I'm still waiting on 2 lights, and my Dust Shroom. Should have been here a couple days ago so it should be soon.
The tent is coming along good.
I built a PVC table that the flood trays can rest on, and be easily slid down as I harvest trays, and put new ones in.
I used low profile sterilite bins and painted them black. They are going to need a few more coats but it's all good. The lids are black with silver on top.
Used Ebb and Flow Fittings from Ebay, and tilted the PVC so there is a 1 inch bevel toward the drain.
I'm thinking I'll use 3 Reservoirs. One for the babies, one for the late veg plants, and one for flowering plants.
Gonna be a bitch to keep up with all 3 reservoirs, but so it goes. If it was easy it wouldn't be any fun.

I must say- IT'S LOOKIN LIKE A PRETTY BITCHIN SYSTEM!!!
I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
