When in doubt, smoke a trout.
Hi all, I have a question about my LED light and setup. I have a 4x4 tent and am using an LED that has 4 cobs @ 200w and an array of 5w diodes @ 200w also. The 5w diodes are mostly reds, blues, whites, and a couple of infrareds and ultraviolet's, which are called bloom enhancers. Basically the 200w cobs are for veg and bloom, and the 200w of 5w diodes as a bloom enhancer.
Is there any reason why I can't use both, totaling 400w for the entire grow? I've been trying to educate myself all thing autoflower and came across this piece (cant remember where) that was saying the blue and red diodes would actually be more beneficial than the cobs during veg. So I went about trying to find more about this, and wouldn't you know it, I found valid arguments for both sides. So then I thought what about both?
Is there such a thing as too much light? Is there a reason manufacturers have split systems with bloom enhancers?
