Enjoy your summer, look forward to watching things progress.

Just to spur discussion, and full discloser...not a first grow, but first large grow. Done 2-3 indoor photo/auto, and some random bags seeds last summer to get a feel for it. Grew up around farm/veg gardening so I have a pretty decent background.

How do you all think these will perform outdoors? Temps up to 93 this week, will peak around 100 next mo. Currently RH is 57% and will fluctuate upwardly as summer progresses.

Since I'm in smallish pots, watering will be a PIA but I close to hose so meh...just have to let lots or h20 air out daily I'm sure. I also plan on insulating outside row of pots with some white material I have lying around.

Also I'm at 38* Lat

It seems that breeze and unlimited fresh air exchange are the great equalizers as it pertains to temps.

I would buy a shade cloth to keep them from getting burnt up. I bought a 10x20 shade cloth with 30% blockage for $35 on Amazon. It drops the thermometer located at the base of my plants by 10° F. If I were you I would look for a 40-50% shade.

Def when young. And at least while the temps are above 85 degrees. But you do give up some of the light intensity. This is one of many reasons I went to using a homemade green house. Now I can control air temps automatic/ thermostatically controlled fan and intake, while not having to give up any light... best thing for you is to pick a spot that is partly shady all day long or at lest a spot the gets full shade from 1-4 ish or when ever is the hottest hours of your location. Just try and keep your girls "comfortable and happy but able to still get a good tan in the sun. Just not burnt!"
