Indoor 2nd Autogrow: Paradise Seeds - "Pandora" (fem) under 90 Watt LED in 15inch x 20inch x 6 foot closet

Hi again! After the success of the Automaria #1 grow i thought i better start another ASAP and have chosen Paradise Seeds "Vertigo" as my 2nd auto strain. I have attempted to germinate 2 seeds because the first seed after 4-5 days didn't seem to be doing anything so i threw the 2nd seed i had on the paper towels and it germinated within 48 hours! I still have the first seed in the wet paper towels but i doubt it will ever do anything because the seed looked pretty low quality tbh....

She's already 3 days old and survived an almost fatal accident with my finger whilst i was leveling out the soil in the pot. I knocked her right out of the loose soil and at first i was worried i'd snapped her but i didn't and she seems to be fine i can see the leafs are slightly longer today and changed position too.
I have a tub of "ona gel apple crumble"and the excuse for having it is that we have a room in here that had a mould problem and we stil get a bad smell in that room sometimes as its not been 100% eliminated.

Today i made my own "ona bucket" out of 2 plant pots and put the tub of ona in the bottom pot and put the 2nd pot ontop with a little fan inside blowing air onto it. I also melted some holes into the side of the pot with a hot screwdriver so that more air would flow through the pot.

I plan on getting a quiet 4inch inline fan with sound-dampning ducting and a carbon filter and venting the filtered air from the closet into the top of the ona bucket. Hopefully this will kill the smell. If i can controll the smell then theres no problem in me growing here as long as i keep it out of sight!

I'll get a pic or 2 of her tonight when it's safe to visit her and put it up on here. Peace!

Update: The seedling died lol. It stopped doing anything and then the last 2 days became yelow and when i added a little water to it it fell over halfed in 2 and the stem was like rotted in the middle but the root was healthy looking.....weird. Alots happened since i started that seed i got my tent setup in another location and going to be putting a 300watt LED panel in it so im going to have 2 grows going at the same time. Currently got the pandora's/auto wappa and auto whiteberry germinating in the paper towels and those seeds look much better quality than the vertigo ones were so im predicting 100% germ rate lol. I'll be more carefull with these ones! Im going to be putting a pandora in the small closet so im gonna need to ask somebody on the forum to help me change the name of this thread!

I don't need to worry about hiding the closet grow anymore so im going to be investing in a carbon filter and inline fan/ducting etc since noise isnt much of an issue anymore. Looking forward to this grow.

Hello just thought id share the pics of the seeds i have germinated. As predicted all 7 of them have germinated and have at least a root. Most have popped out of the shells already after just 3-4 days of being soaked. I have them in my closet at the moment in Root Riot cubes under the 90 watt Prakasa UFO and have them under a 24/0 light cycle to start with.In a few days time i'll start to add darkness into the light cycle at the rate of 15 mins per day until i reach 20/4 and then 18/6 for the last week of flowering. Im just waiting on a "180 watt"(real consumption 100watt) mars/topled UFO to arrive to put in the tent i have at the other location. Once i have the new light in the tent next week im going to take 6 of the seedlings from here and put them in the tent.

There are 3 strains. The first is Auto Wappa, 2nd is Auto Whiteberry and the 3rd is Pandora. There are 2 of each strain except for pandora wich i have 3 of.

Now im having a hard time deciding what one of them im going to keep for the personal closet grow and what ones im going to move into the shared tent. Logic is telling me that i should have 2 of each strain in the tent and keep the spare Pandora seedling for my closet grow. My heart is teling me to take that big fat Auto Wappa seed that was the first to germinate and also survived being dried out completely(fan knocked it over when i was asleep) and came back to life in under 24 hours and still the 2nd biggest out of them all! Hmmmmm.......I'll have a look at the seedbank properties for each strain and put the lowest yeilding one into my closet and try and get the most bud out of the tent that i can....i think....can't make up my mind! lol.

I have little coloured pins stuck into the Root Riot cubes as a way for me to identify what strain each of the seedlings are. Yellow is Auto Wappa. Pink is Pandora and white is Auto Whiteberry.Here's some pics.



The little plastic domes i put over the cubes to keep them moist are from cadburys flake ice cream cones and i just cut the rim off them and used a pin to poke holes in the top for ventilation. Working well fo far.

I'll start a seperate thread for the tent grow once it's up and running and keep this one for my personal closet grow and see if i can get the name changed lol. Guess i'll need to buy some more vertigo seeds with the next batch...........

Hello everyone! The seedlings have now been potted into 20 litre (4 gallon) airpots. They all survived and i choose to keep the extra Pandora seedling for my personal closet grow. I bought 50 litres of Plant Magic Soil Supreme and mixed that with the BioBizz Allmix i already had. I was hoping id have enough to fill the 7 pots but i only had enough to fill 4 and a half so i bought another 50 litre bag of the plant magic soil supreme and used that to fill the other 2 pots in the tent. The Pandora is in the pots that have almost pure plant magic soil and i will be keeping an eye on the grow to see if this causes any difference in growth etc. I will create a new thread for the 6 plants in the tent and keep this as my closet grow journal.

Hello again she's about 2 weeks old now and looking good to me. Growth seems to have accelerated now. I was just giving her a little water everyday at first to keep the root riot cube and surrounding soil hydrated but have now switched over to giving her a greater volume of water every couple of days and letting it almost dry out at the top before watering again.
I noticed with this soil that the water runs out of the bottom easily as if it drains better than the last stuff i was using wich was a mix and match of biobizz allmix and von egmond/edmond soil, can't remember what it's called now.

The Prakasa branded 90 Watt LED might be getting replaced mid-grow with a 185 Watt Mars-Hydro/TopLED(it's branded as a 300 Watt but only really pulling 185). The reason for this is that i got this new 185 Watt LED to help veg the other 6 plants i have got going in my tent and when they go into flower im going to be giving them at least 440 Watts of LED light. When this happens im going to try out the 185 Watt in my closet for flowering.
It has 100 x 3W LED's compared to the 28 x 5W LED's i currently have and it covers the space i have perfectly(hopefully,theres a small chance it wont fit! lol) Hmm now that i think about it,might be ventilation issues with that if its too snug a fit........

Hello! It's nightime and im settled in infront of the PC and thought id share some pics again since i was in the closet taking some more because of a little issue i seem to be having. To me it looks alot like the cal/mag issue i had on my previous grow. I noticed a little orange spot on one of the leafs that was not there when i left for work this morning so it has developed over the course of 8 hours. Along with this i also see what looks like a slight curling up of the outer edges of the leafs. I have a temp/humidity sensor and its showing the temp range as being between 24c-29c and the humidity between 40%-55%.



It's a little hard to notice but it's in the 3rd pic. Apart from that everything seems to be going well. Im going to add some plant magic magne cal+ to my water and give it a little watering and see if it changes anything.....

Hi,i wondered the same thing but i lifted up the little stand at the back of the device and saw 2 holes with tiny buttons inside them. I used a lollipop stick to push down the reset button once i had it inside the closet so that min and max got reset after i had worked out how to set the time/date on it. The hole at the top is the reset button and the one below it is the C / F selector switch. When i push the button i can hear it clicking quite clearly. Have a little look underneath the stand part on the back and you should see these 2 little holes on the left hand side of the battery compartment. It was hard for me to read it but it even had reset wrote next to the top one and i thinkit was C/F next to the bottom one so you know which hole to be pokin' lol. Hope this helped!

Hello! Got some more pics of Pandora. I've been taking pics almost daily so i have a good visual record of how she has progressed.

The little rust spots that appeared on 3 of the leafs have not got any worse and all the new growth looks very healthy. I gave her a few doses of "magne cal+" and it seems to have worked and stopped it from progressing. One thing i did notice though is that she got a little bit of the "nitrogen claw" early on in the grow but she seems to have grown out of it. The cause of it must have been the biobizz allmix that i diluted with the plant magic soil.....it must have needed a little more of the plant magic soil supreme to compensate for the strength of the biobizz allmix.
She seems to have a mutated leaf aswell. You can't really see it well in the pics because of the LED but one of the leafs has one finger thats a different colour than the others and half of the one that is right next to it is the same colour aswell. It has a slightly different texture on it too. Only this one leaf is effected by this weird mutation or w/e it is but its 100% healthy and huge! I notice she already stinks my room out aswell (need a carbon filter ASAP!)

The amount of branches she has and the really close spacing between the nodes has me thinking this is going to turn into some sort of short-dense bush! By far the best plant i ever had so far! I'll just shutup now and show the pics lol.
