New Grower 3 Early miss and 1 Northern lights autos. 3 sick... DWC setup

So these girls are 8 days old. The early miss seem sick. They are curling their leaves and have a dry look to them. Not a nice green healthy ("thick") look.

I don't know hydro so well. Its a

canna co co a + B (Theirs a thread on using this in hydro. Could this be it? Suppose to be good)

They all look sick except for the northern lights. Any insight? All my photos and other AF's are ok... Same mix. I almost want someone to tell me to trash the canna coco and go canna aqua. But I read good things bout the coco. ANY help !!!

how do the roots look? and what is the e.c or ppm? p.h? need more info.

PH is 5.7. Here are the roots. I don't have a PPM or EC meter. Will buy one if its a must. First time grow... Roots are dark because I use GH sub culture m...

You should definitely get a ppm/ec meter! Could be over feeding for this stage. :shrugs: I know that's probably not much help. If you do hydro you should have some way to test ppm. Nice roots! !!!

Ok I think its over feeding. Their 8 days old and im at 40ml of canna A and B. So... Ill bring that down to 1ml a liter I guess, ill get a ppm meter too. Must be too much nutes, I did a res change today. So the fresh res of nutes might be too strong?

Try 0.5ml / L for a couple days to wash out the heavy feed perhaps? I just did it to mine and they look a lot better :thumbs: increase back to 1ml / L in about a week I have not got an EC pen yet because the company in Hong Kong never delivered it, but I will be buying one ASAP I suggest you do the same. About £15-35 will get you a decent one. I can't wait to have accurate reading and feedings, its a bit hit and miss otherwise.

sup pp33 ,those roots look a bit dirty ?... mt guess is the soil in the net pots has got in the res a catching in them ,,,or you too have a root problem like rot maybe ?. res temps above 22oC ish can cause rot very fast & its a bitch to get rid of .... a sterile res is one way to fend it off & soil in there wont be helping with that bro.

I would give the roots a spray as best you can with room temp water or rinse under the tap if you have to ,to get them clean (be very gentle) then change & clean the res & keep the water level just below the base of the pot to minimize more soil getting in there

add a water temp gauge & some hydroton pebbles to the important things to get list with the EC & PH meters :Sharing One:good luck
